The Texas Junior Day will kickoff this weekend to truly commence the start of the 2026 class for the Texas staff. Of course, the staff has been on the road in DFW, California and the deep south this week, but the first true on-campus event always hits a bit differently for recruits in the current class. I know it’s early in the recruiting process, but I think we’re already seeing the tide turn sooner than even a year ago. More and more elite players are interested in Texas at a deeper level. I’m talking not only about in-state players, but also out-of-state ones, too. That’s a natural biproduct of winning and winning big. So I’m unsure how this Junior Day weekend will unfold.
