Despite what the announcers are saying it is, it is not "one of the great traditions in sports." It's totally gross. It's a suitable finish to a completely worthless bowl game between conference also-rans.

  2. From the sounds of it, he sounded like he was doing so in the interest of “fairness to Notre Dame”. Makes me think he anticipates us losing and wants Notre Dame to have the best conditions for beating PSU so it’s not Big10 vs Big10 in Atlanta. Which definitely wouldn’t be a good look for the SEC.

  6. A big new and key recruiting rule for the 2026 class and beyond In the last cycle, head coaches and assistant coaches could meet at high schools with prospects and families in the 2025 cycle in January. In the 2026 class, the next step has been taken. Head coaches and assistants can now make true in-home visits at the residence of prospects in the month of January. That means following the conclusion of the season, the Texas staff will be going in-home with 2026 prospects that Texas deems top targets.

  7. NORMAN, Okla. — The No. 5 Texas women's basketball team emerged victorious in their first Southeastern conference game in program history with an 80-73 win at Oklahoma on Thursday. Jordan Lee came off the bench to lead Texas with 17 points on 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Rori Harmonscored 16 points and dished out eight assists. Taylor Jones scored eight of her 14 points in the fourth quarter and Kyla Oldacre contributed 12 points for Texas. Oklahoma used a pair of 6-0 runs in the first quarter and went up 32-20 with 8:38 to play in the second quarter. 8. Both Ryan Day and Steve Sarkisian are set to speak with the media for roughly 20 minutes today. Day will speak first at 11:00 am and then Sarkisian will follow up at noon. Notes and quotes in the comments below.

  9. I am sure Bobby has mentioned it but here goes…. This is a LEGIT pregame spot fellas and you will NOT be disappointed! AYCE & drink with great entertainment and VY in the house! Get there!! https://tailgate.surlyhorns.com/e/4/cfp-semifinal-at-the-cotton-bowl-texas-vs-ohio-state

  10. Sark during his interview today mentioned “We’re heavy underdogs and no one is giving us a chance”. I really hope this game plays out like the Georgia game the first time around. Being the underdog and playing that style would do us great justice I think.

  12. Join us for Coffee and Football at 8:10 AM CST. It’s the place to be for quality Texas discussion, where we’ll talk the CFP semifinals, recruiting, the portal and more. Plus we’ll take your questions.

  13. "We'll see if Texas of all people is there to defend SEC pride. Part of the whole SEC argument has always been that the crucible of the league is what makes them so good, right? Texas was this good last year. Texas was a final four team as a Big 12 team last year. Being in the SEC didn't make Texas a playoff semifinalist, being Texas made Texas a CFP semi-finalist." –Pat Forde Source- College Football Enquirer podcast

  14. So funny and awesome!

  15. Yesterday Texas A&M WR Noah Thomas officially entered the transfer portal. While it’s still early in the process, I’m told that Thomas is definitely a name to keep an eye on. Expect Texas to host Thomas in the near future, as he’s spoken with the staff over the last few days. Two other schools have also caught his attention: Georgia and Miami. One source has indicated that Georgia and Texas are the top two, with Miami running a distant third. I would expect him to visit all three at this time. I’m also told that Georgia is “in it to win it” and really likes Thomas. This past season he caught 39 passes for 574 yards and eight touchdowns.

That's about all that needs to be said. Completely out coached no clue what to do on offense. And any quarterback on campus or recruit could outperform Quinn

  17. Great road win against the gooners tonight in Norman. 🤘🏻

I was curious if the tipped ball changes the designation from being "defenseless". Any good explanation on the two no calls? It has been an odd thing to watch.

  19. All things being equal, if Texas goes on offense first, not sure Sark goes for it on 4th and 13. Also, if ASU scores, it likely goes for 2 and the win to end the first overtime. “tails never fails” and Quinn called tails both times.

The University of Texas’ football program's thrilling double-overtime victory against Arizona State was a testament to the culture instilled by head coach Steve Sarkisian. Despite adversity at nearly every turn, the Longhorns emerged victorious, showcasing the resilience, teamwork, and determination that have become hallmarks of the program. This win was not just about athleticism or strategy; it was a culture win, shaped by the foundational principles Sark has embedded in the team. From the outset, the game was riddled with challenges. The team did not play their best, facing an opponent that seemed to pull miraculous plays out of thin air. The stakes were high, the…

I am hoping we can get Helm more involved in the game against Ohio State. I feel like he has been close to uncoverable in 5-20 yard patterns and can be the difference maker we need.

  23. Rise and shine! It’s time for Coffee and Football beginning at 8:10 AM CST. We will be discussing the Horns win over Arizona State, talking recruiting, taking your questions and much more. Today we are joined by Gunter Head Coach/Athletic Director Jake Fieszel, a Texas Ex.
