Officially on the Mount Rushmore of dumbest college football play calls of all time. Should be in a textbook, high on a list of what not to do on the one yard line. Unfortunately, Sark now shares in his mentor Pete Carroll’s ignominy on goal line play calling. In goal to go situations, he should definitely try to think more like Saban and less like Carroll.

Quite the frustrating second half of the season for Isaiah Bond. After the ankle injury against Oklahoma, he was never the same impactful player for the Longhorns and it was a large reason why there was so many stagnant moments in my eyes. The first five games were what Texas signed up for. I don’t know what the draft grade is for Bond, but it sure isn’t in the first round or probably close to where he wants it to be after the last seven games.

Hey @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel, I hate to get into this but it seems like the only way to get over last night is to move forward. When do you expect we'll hear news about players who entering the draft, coming back, portal in vs portal out and any recruiting news? I suspect some of the decisions need to be made very soon and some will take some time. Thanks for all y'all do, I think I speak for the OTF Nation when I say thank you for all the time and resources you invest to make sure us Longhorns fans get the best info day in and day out. As always, HOOK 'EM 🤘 🤘

On a positive note, yesterday was the only game this season an Ohio State WR didn’t catch a TD

OTF, don't you think Rod Babers would be a phenomenal hire as a coach or analyst at Texas? I would hate for him to go anywhere else. A huge thanks to Bobby, Coach Shipley, Rod, Gerry (the goat), CJ, Blake, Erin, Coach Ewrin, Stevie, Tony,. Hall of Fame team here at OTF.

Who are seen as the draft-eligible players most likely to return? I’d think Taaffe and DJ Campbell would be the two obvious ones.

I mostly watch in person, but for TV viewing, the aerial camera shots from over the QB are really interesting. A common theme I see when Quinn sacked or forced to a checkdown for minimal gain is the combination of 1) extra pressure arrives, disrupting the timing, 2) Quinn has to make a decision and unlikely to run out of it to buy time (occasionally works), 3) You have typically 3 vertical threats working their routes but no one's head is looking at Quinn to adapt the play, and he can't make a throw. I'm no passing game expert, but seems like the route trees need more variety such that at least someone is on a shorter timing pattern and available for an ear…

Have to imagine this is all just speculation or schefter just saying NFL is interested (doesn’t mean sark is). Have to think Sark has an incredible thing going here and wouldn’t want to leave. But NFL is king. Anyone hear if this is all just media being media?

Can we get the ASU treatment, have sports media and us whine until next week about the no holding call on colin simmons by the right tackle on OSU’s third and long? That hold was beyond egregious.

We were 100% sunk by hideous lapses of judgement by the coaches. 1. Being that aggressive on D at the end of 2nd quarter. Zero reason to blitz Guilbeau 2. Horrendous goal line debacle Proud of the players, including Quinn. Quinn was lights out on that final drive until Sark sabotaged the drive. You can’t put your QB in that situation on 4th down, high pressure against the best defense in the country. Just can’t do it

If Texas wins and Ewers has a decent game, does he jump into the first round? Or has to be Natty?

We're still licking our wounds, but Sark needs to quickly refocus and reload on the portal and convince enough kids to come back for 1 more year, as possible. We lost tonights game due to having the tOSU DL beat our OL. Not scoring from 1st and goal from the 1 pretty much is emblematic of this issue. Well we play tOSU again in game 1 with new faces on both sides. I don't know the tOSU roster well enough, but I assume they will start with the young Sayin at QB, and still have tons of talent (Smith, Downs, etc..). How will we stack up? Offense scored 14 points but we will need to rebuild quickly as there are tons of questions on offense. QB - Arch hopefully wi…

No doubt we had other opportunities. But if they call the hold on Colin Simmons, most likely they don’t score. If we’re in the same situation on 4th and goal, we kick the field goal and are up 3. Plenty of blame to go around. But that’s an all time horrendous no call.
