These are the guys I think could be drafted: Lole Collins Sorrell Helm Broughton Holmes Barron Mukuba Banks Cam Williams Blue Bond QE Golden Then a few who could get drafted: Conner Bolden Majors Campbell (if declares) Moore (if declares) That’s 19 draftable guys if they all head to the draft. I think we’re a lock to get 13-14 guys drafted as of today.

I lost a good friend, Dave, Friday night after the Cotton Bowl. He passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was a childhood friend and my roommate at Texas in the early 90’s. He loved his Longhorns. A few of us buddies have a text thread that we use during Longhorn games. Dave never responded to our texts Friday night. I talked to his wife tonight and asked if Dave watched the game. She said she helped prop him up in bed so he could watch. When it was over he asked her to turn the tv off. I’m seeing a lot of way too early college football rankings having us as #1 for next season, and my guess is a lot of that is Arch hype, and to be honest I’m not too well versed in what other top teams are losing/gaining, but from an early glance here is my position by position view of if we could be better or worse… and yes, I know it’s too early to do this, but I need to do something to not think about yesterday, so humor me. I think we had a great season made it to the SEC Championship and to the final 4 once again. With that being said we just had to many question marks IMO, so what are you biggest what ifs for the season? 1. A healthy CJ Baxiter, we missed the power run or in some games being able to run the ball at all. CJ in pass protection, the passing game and being able to just fall forward and get 2-3 yards was missed. 2. A healthy Quinn Ewers, Quinn was on fire until he went out vs UTSA i can’t help but think he would have kept building off that and not battling injuries. 3. AD Mitchell returned for his sr season, I say AD because I remembered he at least considered it…

Texas coaches on the road OnTexasFootball is hearing the Texas staff will be on the road beginningThursday seeing top 2026 prospects. That doesn't mean a singular coach may not be out a day earlier to be clear. The reason is pretty simple ... January 15 is the last day players can enter the portal and the NFL draft. Plenty of reason to be on campus first half of the week.

Looking at who we have on the roster already & who we have coming in with the number 1 rated class, combined with the way the defense played this year, I think we have the makings of resembling Georgia’s dominant 2021 defense. I’m going to go out on a limb here & say we may have even more pieces to work with than Georgia had. Of course, the players will have to put in the work & develop, but that’s not as crazy as it may sound. Adding Graceson Littleton to the early enrollee list. The 4-star cornerback has moved onto campus according to the Texas Football account. It was originally unexpected that Littleton would move to campus for the spring semester, however, he is now on campus and will join the team for winter workouts and spring football. Pretty nice development for the Longhorns.

Just wanted to throw some shout out to multiple players after thinking more about the game (no particular order) 1) Quinn - never question the effort. Yes he needs some better pocket awareness, but he kept fighting, and that flip to Wisner was one of his best plays ever as a Longhorn. Should always be appreciated by fans for what he has done for Texas. 2) Blue - tremendous as a catching RB. Could have pouted after losing carries to Wisner earlier in the year but balled out on the biggest stage. Texas Makes Top 5 for Tiki Hola The Longhorns have made the cut for Bastrop (Texas) High DL Tiki Hola. Hola has been on campus upwards of five times during the 2024 calendar year, and as a result the Longhorns make the top five with USC, Oregon, SMU and Notre Dame. This spring seasons is going to be really important for Hola. Can he continue to grow into his frame? That will be the big question.
