QB3 is out here defending QB1’s decision making on social media, responding to a post from a rival site asking why Quinn slid in the backfield. Just another small testament to the togetherness of this squad. Seems like the entire team (Sark most notably) is tired of folks nitpicking 3 and ruining the vibes.

What a polarizing weekend in college football. The first weekend of the College Football Playoff had some bright moments, but for the most part it was overshadowed by blowout, after blowout, after blowout. It was an utter embarrassment when it comes to competitive football. Which, in actuality, hat tip to Clemson for at least giving the CFP one lead change. I will start with this, I don't know what the remedy is for college football. The Playoff on a given year likely won't have 12 teams worthy of winning a National Championship. Was the jump to 12 teams the right move? I want to believe so, but this weekend did not provide a lot of confidence in the future of t…

I was at UT in the VY / Colt era so that'll help age me. Last week, I attended a Holiday concert for my son at Wheatridge High School here in the Denver area and saw the sign below hanging in the gymnasium. I'm curious by nature so looked it up and learned some Longhorn history. Freddie Steinmark (January 27, 1949 – June 6, 1971) was an American college football player for the University of Texas Longhorns. He inspired his teammates by his faith after his diagnosis of bone cancer and subsequent leg amputation during his junior year. Twenty days later, he observed from the sidelines, and his team won the national championship that year.[1] Steinmark has posthumou…

Was looking at season stats and i may be getting ahead of myself because i am not so sure blue can duplicate the type of rushing game he had against Clemson, But is it possible to finish the season with two 1,000 yard rushers? Wisner only needs 27 yards and blue needs 290. Would be a quite the accomplishment after losing your bell cow in CJ.

Your podcasts, especially the shorter ones, are becoming almost unlistenable with all the ads. One of your shorter shows was more ads than content. I want y’all to make your paper but it’s too much. I want to listen to the podcast and not have to manage it by fast forwarding every few minutes.

Interesting, no SEC officials in this game and no holding penalties on Texas? Wow the coaches must have really worked hard with Texas players not to hold in this game. Let's hope we don't see any more SEC officials the rest of the playoffs.

On the other side of the bracket: Notre Dame beats Gunnar Stockton-led UGA and subsequently beats PSU. On our side: Take care of business vs ASU and hope to catch an emotionally/physically drained winner of the Rose Bowl looking ahead to the title game. Of the P4 programs on the other side of the bracket, I think we match up best with ND.
