Yall are so soft. Oregon plays little to no defense. Our defense is elite.

Texas’ defense is good, it’s not Elite

This is false. It’s one of the best defenses in program history. It’s elite

they will boat race us they way they look today.

Yep, if our defense played like Oregon’s ability and scheme wise, no doubt.

we just gave up 500 yards

Yards aren't always a great indicator. Yes they gave up a lot of yards, but they were on the field for so long, it's not that surprising. ASU wore our D down over time and struck when they were completely gassed. The O has not helped this D out at all this year, the D has had to carry us with how poor the O has been.

They are still elite and have done their job all year. Yes, they will need to play better against Ohio State, but it's easy to blame them for all the woes when the O did next to nothing for large chunks of the game. We allowed ASU to hang around, instead of putting them away.

Football is week to week. Everyone praising OSU and Day when 2 weeks ago everyone said he should be fired.

It’s truly not. They’ve yet to play an elite offense

It’s elite.

But no defense in the world can compete when on the field for 90 plays.

Our offenses HAS to pick up some slack or the defense will break.

It’ll be neck and neck if both teams play well.

We have a good chance of winning if we play reasonably well and Will Howard does Will Howard things.

They will win convincingly if Howard stays hot and we bring Peach Bowl UT to Dallas.

I expect an L, but it’s all house money for the next 4-8 quarters of football.

The nice thing is they won’t have spent the last 4 weeks prepping for us, and I wouldn’t expect them to attempt the Boise State bowl game theatrics that ASU pulled off.

I do expect Ryan Day to panic, overindulge in his preferred beard dye mixture of used motor oil and Guinness, and end up with a shade of facial hair approximating a black hole.

Name a better defense in program history....only two come to mind 83 and 2009. It is in that realm of rare defense.  All the statistics and advance metrics say it is so you can argue your opinion vs the facts until the cows come home. Derrick Johnson has said it is elite but what does he know about defense.

Again, what elite offense or even good offense have played? It’s easy to look good against lesser comp. I’m not saying they’re not very good, but I personally do not put them in the elite category. If they can stop Ohio St I’ll quickly change my tune.
