Hook ‘Em! Texas has earned a commitment from 2025 Fort Bend Marshall CB Caleb Chester following his official visit to Texas last weekend. The Longhorns led for the 6-foot-1 cornerback coming into the weekend and made a strong enough impression on the visit for Chester to shut things down for good. Chester was slated to officially visit Texas A&M and Arkansas over the next two weekends, so for the Longhorns to get him to shut things down was quite the victory. AUSTIN (KXAN) — Fans cheering on the Longhorns at this year’s UT-Michigan game now have another nonstop option to make the journey. Southwest Airlines will offer two nonstop flights ahead of the game on Sept. 7. Flights will depart Austin at 11:40 a.m. on both Thursday and Friday, Sept. 5 and 6, and will land at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) at 3:35 p.m. local time. Note on Michael Terry III San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights 4-star athlete Michael Terry III will begin his OV to Texas A&M earlier than expected. This will not be a full weekend OV. The Terry family is scheduled to arrive in College Station today/tonight, and have the two day visit Thursday through Saturday. Texas A&M has taken the Thursday through Saturday approach with a few prospects in the 2025 cycle. Notes Terry and family have been in contact with Texas multiple times since the OV. Construction has moved quickly on the scoreboard work at DKR. The video board in the south Endzone is gone and the are is now see through. The back fencing used to dawn an orange backdrop with a white Longhorn logo. That is gone too. Eager to see how quickly this gets done.

2025 Oaks Christian EDGE Hayden Lowe has committed to USC following his official visit this weekend. Texas was scheduled to receive an official visit June 14-16 and had previously been considered a school to watch in this recruitment. It remains to be seen if that visit will still take place.

Everyone’s aware that defensive line depth and recruiting have been (legitimately) much discussed topics this offseason. But I find myself worried about the secondary. Although athleticism and speed have seemingly improved, I’m not sure that cohesion within the group and with the front seven are anywhere close to where they need to be in order to make a run in ‘24. We saw these issues ad nauseam against Washington. We saw coverage busts in the spring game, and the problem was mentioned again immediately after the guys got back earlier this month. Is there any way to force the download of the OTF app? The app is flaky on my Samsung Galaxy 10+ and deletes itself on the regular. When it happens, I go back to a browser and eventually (after a LOT of browser activity) it offers an opportunity to download the app. This cycle has happened at least 6 to 8 times. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to force a download of the app? I also use the Shaggy Bevo app.which seems to be very similar to the OTF app, but the SB app has never deleted itself like the OTF app has.
