Texas RB commit James Simon is headed back home after his official visit this weekend. Simon told OTF he had a blast on the trip and is continuing to build his relationship with the other committed players in the class on campus this weekend. Christian Clark was his player host and Simon mentioned spending plenty of time on the trip with KJ Lacey and Arch Manning. In regards to his recruitment, Simon says he’s all the way locked in to the Horns.

Lufkin (Texas) High 4-star DL Zion Williams is not on campus, and is not expected in this weekend per a source in Austin ... OTF can confirm. Texas will continue to work on getting Williams on campus in the fall, depending on how the DL position shakes out into the fall. Williams is expected to announce for LSU July 4.

Texas scored eight runs in the 9th inning Sunday afternoon to take care of business 13–8. AUSTIN, Texas — Darby Rich has been named Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Performance for the Men's Basketball program at The University of Texas, Head Coach Rodney Terry announced Wednesday. Rich brings 21 years of sports performance coaching experience and 27 overall years of service in collegiate athletics to the Texas staff.
