Made a quick stop at Dekaney High School this morning to catch up with 2025 TE Nick Townsend and 2025 WR Tanook Hines ahead of their July 10 decision date. Both took official visits to Austin this month and the Longhorns are in contention with a decision two weeks out at the moment.

The first domino has fallen with the firing of David Pierce, which we reported would happen a few weeks ago. Here’s what I can say: - CDC wouldn’t have announced the firing of Pierce today unless this (the hiring of a new coach) was already a done deal. I live in College Station and work mostly with Aggies. It's not ideal but it pays the bills. Thought I would start a post and add color on the local sentiment in the area. Recent activity: Aggies are very pumped about making the mens baseball championship. They are very aware that in their lifetime this is the first time something like this has happened. Alief (Texas) Hastings EDGE Smith Orogbo remains scheduled to announce his commitment July 1. The OnTexasFootball 4-star+ twitchy pass rush prospect has a final four of Washington, Texas Tech, Texas and Oklahoma.
