The Alamo Bowl’s attempt to be allowed to choose SEC-bound Texas or Oklahoma for its bowl games in 2024 and 2025 has been denied, sources told Action Network. The Alamo Bowl, which has two years left on its contract pitting the Pac-12 and Big 12, wanted to be able to select Texas or OU as a replacement for a Pac-12 school for the next two seasons. In February, Action Network reported the 10 schools leaving the Pac-12 — the “Pac-12 legacy members” — would still play in Pac-12 affiliated bowls and not in bowl tie-ins with their new conferences for the next two seasons. However, the Alamo Bowl wanted to replace its Pac-12 team with either Texas or Oklahoma, se…

Anyone expect Dallas to make this much noise? I know I didn’t, but glad it’s happening. Luka stunned the Timberwolves tonight with the game winning 3. Mavs lead the series 2-0.

The 2024-25 College Football Playoff game schedule has released. The first round of games will air December 20–21 with three games happening on Saturday the 21st. Then the playoff quarterfinals will move to the original New Years 6 bowl destinations – Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl. This season's semifinals will occur at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Potentially a game in Dallas for the Longhorns if they make the semifinal. And of course, the National Championship in Atlanta this season on January 20th.

From ESPN: We polled more than a dozen NFL scouts and execs from across the league to build a list of 14 under-the-radar prospects for the 2025 class. It's an ESPN+ article, so I can't post the entire thing, but here's the link if you're a member. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/40272998/2025-nfl-draft-sleepers-scouts-pick-radar-prospects-risers

SEC schools were busy in the transfer portal during the winter and spring windows. Five of the conference's 16 schools (including Oklahoma and Texas, which join on July 1) took at least 20 transfer prospects, more than the last three cycles combined. Given its status as one of the nation's premier conferences and with plenty of College Football Playoff competitors in its ranks, the SEC netted its fair share of additions as we creep towards the 2024 season. Here are some that will make an immediate impact. Texas WR Isaiah Bond Texas' roster is in great shape after last season's CFP run, and the Longhorns look like a legitimate competitor in their first year …

Before I start let me state that I have no idea what is best for college football. I am no expert but I have been watching college sports, especially UT, since 1967 or so. I know some schools have talked about cutting sports or office personnel in order to find the cash to pay payers. I like alot of the changes in college sports but not all. NIL and the portal are great but I do believe that some restrictions are necessary. For example, a player cannot transfer to an upcoming opponent of his current team. I was flipping around on YouTube and saw OB’s show and watched a few minutes. Before I continue, I know Ketch has a checkered reputation both on OTF and IT. To som…

Early bettors are favoring SEC quarterbacks in the 2024 Heisman Trophy race. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is the current favorite at +750 just ahead of Texas QB Quinn Ewersat +800 and new Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel at +900. Beck has gotten the most bets at BetMGM so far with 10% of wagers. Those bets make up 11% of the money bet so far. Ewers, meanwhile, is getting the most money (13.6% of the handle). That’s slightly more than Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders at 13%. Georgia is also the preseason national title favorite and it’s a smart play to go with the quarterback of a potential national title team as your Heisman pick. Five of the last seven Heis…
