Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian provided an update on some injuries during the SEC Teleconference Wednesday morning. Sarkisian says WR Isaiah Bond and DB Andrew Mukuba "have both had a good week so far." Also, RB Velton Gardner will miss the remainder of the season with an eye injury he suffered in practice earlier in the season. The SEC Availability Report will release town around 7:00 p.m. CST. We will see how the Longhorns shake out on their designations, right now I would list both Mukuba and Bond as questionable.

This is a big time pick up for the Horns. Most likely will be at catcher while in Austin, but can easily play other positions as well. Excellent pop time behind the plate. Offensively, Robinson hits really, really well. He throws right, bats left. Look for him to be a big time bat for Texas.

2026 Temple CB Jason Bradford tells OTF that he is a maybe to visit this weekend vs. Florida. Bradford has been one to monitor over the last couple of months dating back to the spring. Texas cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph has yet to show a lot of interest, however the Texas recruiting department has remaining in brief contact. Bradford was last on campus June 1 for the Elite Camp where sources indicated to me he performed well in front of the Texas staff. The 6-foot, 3-inch cornerback out of Temple, Texas holds seven offers so far – Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas State, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Lamar.

Most exciting game (of course) will be Texas against tOSU on a neutral floor. Ohio State has a nearly totally rebuilt roster coached by Jake Diebler, an assistant who tried to salvage the tOSU season after Holtmann was fired last year, and did a really good job of it. So we have two teams coached by former assistants who had to step up when their bosses were shown the door. Both have done well so far. The Longhorns will host Florida this weekend as they return from their second, and final, bye week of the season. Florida lost to Georgia in Jacksonville over the weekend, but most importantly, might have lost their starting quarterback, DJ Lagway, for the season due to injury. That meeting on November 30 in College Station is going to be very difficult for the Longhorns. The world watched last night as Texas A&M disappeared in the second half and fell short in Columbia by the score of 44–20. Remember, that was a tied game at halftime, then the Gamecocks flipped a switch and dominated the final two quarters.
