The first true road game of the SEC era for the Texas Longhorns comes in a game where the Longhorn faithful completely fill the away stands. Nothing hostile about this game, that’s for sure. 1st Quarter: Texas gets the ball, but doesn’t do anything to help itself in terms of field position. Holding forced the Longhorns to start on their own 7-yard line. It took all three plays to gain 10 yards and an inch for the first down. Texas is running more on this first drive already than at any point this season. Oh man. A batted pass is intercepted and the Longhorns are giving Vandy a tremendous start to the game. Just curious what the board thinks about aggy vs lsu last night. LSU was dominating defensively before aggy switched qb to run zone read which as we know worked well. The question is did LSU not prepare for zone read possibility at all thinking aggy would not run it due to staying with CW or do they just not have the defensive talent to match up? Reed's season has not proven he is ready to be a complete qb or he would have started. Thoughts?

Two recruiting notes Texas 5-star safety commitment Jonah Williams (Galveston, Texas/Ball) was injured in his last game. According to a family source, the 6-3, 205-pound safety prospect suffered a minor fracture to his clavicle. Initially, it was feared he had a collarbone injury. Obviously, that will impact the remainder of the Ball High season. OnTexasFootball spoke with 4-star++ DL commit Myron Charles (Port Charlotte, Fla./High) an hour ago. Charles informed OTF that he did not attend the FSU at Miami game Saturday.

Ok let's review.... The Longhorns are 7-1 on the season with a bye week ahead and four games to go. How about season high and low lights. - Beat #10 Michigan comfortably in the Big House in a game that was over before the MU band played Hail to the Victors at the half. - Beat everyone else at home by big numbers while experiencing our QB1's annual injury that takes him out of action. QB2 steps in and gets it done. - Gave OU a beat down 34-3. That was fun!! Curious if anyone knows…are there rules regarding noise level from the PA speakers in regards to the play clock? I noticed several times during the game that the PA system was blaring music until there was 11 seconds on the play clock, and once it played until 6 seconds left. I never saw a coach complain to the refs, but I was under the assumption that there were rules regarding this?

Kobe Black I think is my favorite player on this team, I was rly hoping he would commit back when he was being recruited and watching him today was awesome. He looked really good with what I though was 2 PD’s, an amazing tackle, and (should be) pick six! I think he earned to be more heavily involved in this defense as he has only seen a few snaps outside of today

Something like 19 or 20 straight games we had more penalties than our opponent. Unreal and has got to stop if we are going to win it all... baylor last year had 1 more yard in penalties against us. Discipline coaching or the refs out to get us jus kiddin on that maybe. But over last 4 years with sark we have had more penalties or yards almost every game. Almost impossible. WHY

Guys, I just want to take a second and apologize to Longhorn nation; as a dedicated fan of over a decade; in 2021 I moved close enough to start attending games and my record is 1-5 with my first loss in 2021 at Arkansas and only win in the Texas Tech 70 point extravaganza I was in attendance for the Gabriel RRS victory; and this prior weekend I was in attendance for the Georgia game. with me not attending any more games, I will not be attributing to any curses that I feel have been set forth, and unlike the noles fan, I can accept my fate. Heavens guys. Just got done with C&F. Layering this morning in with the rest of the weeks content, you wouldn’t know we’ve spent most of the season as #1 and are 6-1. Way too much doom and gloom about this team IMO. Look, last week we ran in to a buzz saw. All of our experience, all of our speed…it’s still Vanderbilt guys.
