AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas softball head coach Mike White and his coaching staff have announced on Wednesday afternoon the signings of seven student-athletes to Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) to play softball for the Longhorns. "Our incoming class for the 2026 season is one that, as a coaching staff, we are very excited about," White said. "With four members of this class residing in Texas, it is loaded with talent at all the key positions and will ensure that Texas Softball will continue to be one of the country's top programs." The septet of signees includes Anne Wallace, Hannah Wells, Alisa Sneed, Jaycie Nichols, Aundrea (Drea) Wilson, Caig…

Steve Wiltfong says there’s buzz that ultimately he stays in state rather than signs with Texas, he said there’s optimism that we keep him but is this something we actually need to start getting more worried about? Obviously he’s 5* WR from Florida so for them to not recruit him through the whistle would be very stupid, but it’s a little concerning what Wiltfong said. “There’s some buzz that ultimately it’s more likely he stays in the state than signs with Texas,” On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong said on Wednesday. “So you’ve got Miami, and you’ve got Florida battling for Ffrench.” Added On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons: “I think there’s s…

Florida this weekend. Any reason for concern here after Texas clapped them by 32 last week? Texas can’t get out NIL’d for Dline prospects this late in the game.

Today will be a busy day for many sports on the Forty Acres, especially when it comes to baseball. The Longhorns are expecting 16 kids to sign at some point throughout the day. Don't expect many fireworks, as it should be a relatively quiet NSD. I'm being told that there aren't any surprises or decisions that they're monitoring. The staff is very excited about this class and the potential of it. It's been the status quo for a while now, but the focus will continue to be on 2026 recruiting.

I am going to the game this weekend, and curious where the Texas seats are. I found decent tickets behind the Texas bench - will I be surrounded by Arky fans there, or will some of those be Texas' tickets; e.g., Section 122, 123, 124? Tulsa Texas Exes are chartering a bus over, so I'll listen to the pre-game while getting loaded before going in,...

A quick pair of recruiting nuggets for the Longhorns stemming from the secondary. To echo our Gerry Hamilton, Texas is in a really strong spot for Wiregrass Ranch (Tampa, FL) CB Graceson Littleton after his official visit this weekend in Austin. Littleton is expected to make a decision soon per a source. Following the weekend, things are looking positively for the Longhorns to add a second cornerback to the class. *** Additionally, I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown yesterday afternoon, but wanted to reiterate – the plan for now is 2026 five-star defensive back Bralan Womack will be in Austin for the Kentucky game November 23. Womack, o…

Texas has three wide receivers committed in the 2025 class at the moment, three really good wide receivers at that. However, I received word that the Longhorns are continuing to work on Oregon commit Dakorien Moore. A flip of the Ducks WR commit would be difficult and I am told it would be rather unlikely, however, it is worth mentioning that the phone is still being picked up for now. Moore committed to Oregon on July 4 and has been firm since then. Right now, this just remains something to monitor.

It is a happy day in the office of Vic Schaefer in Austin, Texas. Five-star Aaliyah Crump, the No. 5 overall player in the 2025 class, has signed with the Longhorns. Crump was a member of the 2023 USA Women's National U16 Team where she averaged 9.0 PPG and 3.8 RPG. Crump also led Minnetonka (MN) High to a 28–2 record, en route to a 4A State Championship where she scored 23 points in the championship game. Quite the addition to Schaefer's program. Plus, the Longhorns are continuing to work to add Aaliyah Chavez as well.

Heard that this top 10 2027 prospect had a great 3 day trip to UT this week. Why do we care about a 2027 TE now? Well he's probably the next uber stud national TE prospect. He's from Colorado and is very aware of Gunner Helm's game. He is a Mater Dei kid, ala Spencer Shannon. Oh, and his father grew up in Austin and raised him as a horns fan. .. and by the way he is likely to flip to the 2026 class. Sark is on this kid like white on rice. https://www.on3.com/db/mark-bowman-238497/

Texas 4-star++ commit Jaime Ffrench (Jacksonville/Mandarin) will be making an official visit to Florida this weekend. Ffrench told the Texas staff about it prior to it getting out publicly. OTF considers this a free trip to go with LSU at Florida along with his high school quarterback and FSU commit Tramell Jones Jr., who Florida has been pursuing. I spoke with a source close to Ffrench earlier today as well. The source said Miami was the only school that would be a threat to Texas, but Ffrench has remained solid with the Horns.
