The latest on Texas 4-star++ DL commit Myron Charles (Port Charlotte, Fla./High) and 4-star++ EDGE target Javion Hilson (Cocoa, Fla./High). Charles is scheduled to fly into Austin Saturday morning. Arriving around noon. Port Charlotte High is currently playing a second round playoff game. Per a source close to Javion Hilson, he’s not expected in Austin or Gainesville this weekend. We shall see if he shows up on a campus anywhere. Cocoa High is currently playing a second round playoff game. Hilson is scheduled to make an OV to Texas A&M November 30 for the game vs Texas.

Myron Charles Note The Florida Gators are making a major run at 4-star++ defensive lineman and Texas commitment Myron Charles (Port Charlotte, Fla./High). OnTexasFootball has been told that Texas has felt pretty good about conversations since the 6-4.5, 310-pounder made a visit to Florida for the LSU game over the weekend. With that said, there is also some confidence on the Florida front. The Gators are working to get Charles back on campus this weekend for the Ole Miss game, and attempting to pressure Charles to open up his recruitment early this week. Texas and Florida duking it out for one of the nations top defensive linemen.

Friday morning Kellen Wiley Update OnTexasFootball was told by a source very close to the recruitment of 4-star linebacker Kellen Wiley (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) that he will be in Gainesville for a visit to Florida this weekend. The family had gone back-and-forth on the plans Thursday. Texas was attempting to get the 6-3.5, 226-pounder back on campus this weekend. Texas remains considered the favorite for the Sunshine State senior riser over Florida headed into the weekend - per the source close to the recruitment.

Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron has been named a Finalist for the Nagurski Award - presented to the best defensive player in the country. The other finalists include Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter, Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham and South Carolina edge Kyle Kennard. The awards will be announced December 9th.
