Something you never want to hear your head coach say after a game. Damn it was great to physically dominate the Aggies on their home field with the sec championship game in the line. All the bitching and moaning by the ags about us joining the sec. Year 1 we are in championship game while they get to watch the championship game for the 13th straight year without an appearance.

So many of you bag on Quinn not being this or that, well, ask Wink Martindale. A well respected NFL D coordinator, Martindale is confusing Will Howard for OSU, while Quinn played a healthier Michigan defense and absolutely shredded them. When the NFL guys put the tape on, they can see what many of you don't. Quinn is a pro, just young is his development with a helluva floor and an unbelievable ceiling. It's all about how you build it, ask Sark! #HATEWEEK #BEATLILBROTHER #OTFCULTURE 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿💪🏾

After the No. 3 Texas Longhorns secured a hard-fought 17-7 victory over No. 20 Texas A&M on Saturday night, head coach Steve Sarkisian took immediate action to ensure the celebration did not spiral into disrespect. With emotions running high at Kyle Field, Sarkisian stopped his players from celebrating on the Aggies’ midfield logo, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship. Sarkisian’s caution stemmed from an earlier incident he witnessed in college football that same day. While preparing for the primetime matchup in his hotel room, Sarkisian watched th…

Just wanted to shout out @CJ Vogel on something. He recently said that all Texas offensive drives needed to end on a kick, whether it be a PAT, FG, or punt. On a show earlier this week, Case McCoy mentioned the exact same thing. He said Mack Brown emphasized to that team that every drive needed to end with a kick as well. And if we look at last night’s game, the game would have been over in the third quarter if we could have ended those 2 third quarter drives with kicks (FG or TD/PAT) instead of turnovers.

The guy has single-handedly, with a massive help from the OL, changed the offensive identity of this team. The transformation from a horizontal screen team into a highly effective between the tackles rushing attack is astounding. Sark deserves credit for being flexible enough to recognize that 1) teams had figured out the horizontal offensive and 2) morph from throwing to open up the run to running to open up the pass. Trey is by far the most valuable player on this team and it’s not even close. Hopefully Sark can reduce his workload next week and give Gibson and to a lesser extent Blue a tryout in the new identity offense in a game that would be nice to win …

If you're all about development, tonight shows you where you need to go. Hilson needs to reconsider if he's headed to A&M currently.

Helm, Goosby, Wisner, Burke. Doesn't matter the star rating, this coaching staff is going to develop you into a player if you have patience and any kind of work ethic. The development of the Texas guys vs. the aggy guys is night and day. Our DL/OL whipped their asses for 60 minutes all over their home field, in a game they begged the conference to be played there.

Arguably Quinn’s best and worst trait (depending on context) is his calm demeanor. At worst, in the quiet home environment I think Quinn can be TOO calm, not enough urgency. At best, I think the buzz in a “tough” road environment prevents Quinn from getting “too calm”, and he is an ideal level of composed with an intact sense of urgency from the raucous environment. The one caveat here is that Quinn showed in the TAMU game a proneness for hero ball. He needs to cut that crap out. End every drive in a kick. We have an elite defense. Arguably THE elite defense in CFB.

Maui tournament starts today. Who the hell drew the bracket? The tournament has 3 teams in both Pomeroy and AP top ten, and two of them (Auburn and Iowa State) play each other in the first round? Meanwhile, the two weakest teams in the tournament (Colorado and Michigan State) also face each other in the first round. Weird. Memphis-UConn and Dayton-UNC are the other two first round games. With the advent of so many 16+ team conferences, these tournaments are allowed to have more than one team from a given conference. Weird bracketing is not unique to Maui. The "Players Era Festival Power Tournament" (I guess blow a raspberry for the acronym) has its two best te…

One of my favorite things in the business is a small town defensive lineman that will be a DI player on some level just living in rag doll mode on Friday nights. Brysen Maxwell-Steele (6-0, 300) of Marlin has 200 tackles and 74 tackles for loss in the last two seasons, and Marlin is still in the playoffs so those numbers will climb... He looks like he's calf roping in half of this video lol http://www.hudl.com/v/2QmbqE

This morning I was reading Dave Campbell's Texas Football and they had an article titled 'What Each Texas FBS Program Should Be Thankful For' Here's what they had to say for the Longhorns: My question to all of you is, what player/coach/specific thing should the Horns be thankful for this season?
