Austin – The University of Texas and University of Notre Dame have agreed to a home-and-home football series that will see the Longhorns travel to South Bend, Ind., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2028, while the Fighting Irish will visit Austin on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2029. The non-conference games will match two of the winningest programs in NCAA history with Texas ranking fourth on the NCAA all-time victory list with 957 wins, and Notre Dame just one win behind with 956 to rank fifth. UT and Notre Dame have met 12 times in football dating back to 1913 with the Irish winning nine of those. The two traditional football powers last met in 2016 in Austin, resulting in an in…

Go back and watch the Michigan game. Quinn was scrambling all over the field zipping touchdowns off-balance on frozen ropes. His diminished overall performance and loss of mobility since the oblique strain MUST be due to factors other than “mental” or the dreaded “three-high safety look.“ They are sitting on something… Sort of like we all found out at the start of last season that Xavier Worthy had a broken hand the second half of the season two years ago. Perhaps even a different undisclosed injury? Totally different player compared to early in the season.

It seems like the total number of stars in the higher end recruiting class this year are much lower in years past. Is this just a weird year, will a couple of teams get a bunch of late recruits and shoot the number up, or is it a function of NIL and the portal making kids think they can go to a small school then transfer?

Our next opponent, Mississippi Valley State, is 364th in 364 teams in Pomeroy, and it just lost tonight to a so-so Missouri team 111-39. Seriously, CDC, why schedule this kind of crap?

Looking at A&M and Arkansas offense, I think Arkansas clearly is a better offensive team. Especially with Moss out for the year for A&M. I'm confident in the Texas defense to hold A&M under 20. I think it comes down to the offense. If we can scheme up and execute well enough to get at least 3 TDs, I like our chances. Handle business vs Kentucky and then trust Sark to scheme Quinn up to have a legacy game vs A&M. I think he delivers and we are headed to Atlanta 🤘

Conner was named the Co-SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week. Tashard Choice and the Texas Longhorns have extended an offer to 2027 Baylor School (TN) RB David Gabriel Georges. The Longhorns becomes the 20th team to extend an offer to the 6-foot, 190-pound running back out of Tennessee. David Gabriel Georges is originally from Canada, but has become quite the prospect in the 2027 class. Already with multiple game visits to Tennessee this season and another to Ole Miss.

Ok...so we missed out on true speed at the wr position this year with DaKorien.... cool. I'm wondering does an unhappy Zachariah Branch look to leave USC? If so, Sark, with his west coast ties and penchant for using speed in the proper way, could we see him added as possibly a big weapon for Arch in the 25-26 season?
