Featured in the final season of Last Chance U. Saw former Cowboy CB Nashon Wright on my twitter For You late last night post about him. Nashon and his younger brother Rezjohn, who was in that season of LCU, played for Coach Beam at Laney. He was the best coach during that series.

I hope the fumes of my pastalaya are carried by the football gods into Georgia, lifting Arch Mannings spirit of a champion born and raised Louisiana. Wipe the floor with the Georgia dog worshipers, overcoming the Georgia referee bias that permeates the SEC. I hope the severe disappointment will cause premature menstruation to all the Georgia females and nobody gets lucky or wants to for 5 days. So we can forever know the day as The Red Manning, painting the town red with irony on the Red Out.

While I don't have a breakdown by sport, this is interesting. Below from my Austin chapter football referee newsletter just now. 🤘 Texas Leads the Country in High School Athletic Participation According to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) website, Texas has the largest number of high school sports participants with 364,020 girls and 515,383 boys for a combined total of 879,403 during the 2024-2025 school year. California holds down the second spot with a combined total of 852,575. Rounding up the top five are Ohio at 335,808, Pennsylvania at 333,123, and Illinois at 328,362.

Every week we see games swing on bad spots, missed holds, mystery DPI, clock screwups, and “after further review… who knows?” moments. Meanwhile the sport is worth billions, the technology clearly exists, and other leagues are already using versions of this stuff. I’m not talking about replacing refs with robots. More like: Real-time ball/line tracking AI flagging obvious misses for review A centralized oversight room that standardizes rulings Automated clock/spot corrections Data-based grading for ref crews Basically, give officials the tools to stop human error from dictating outcomes.

Just stumbled upon this beauty of a “third-party” NIL that LSU is 100% using to pay recruits before they show up on campus. When @Gerry Hamiltonsays pressure from the collectives to stay committed, this is exactly what he is talking about. Brysten Martinez and Richard Anderson are both featured on here lmao https://www.instagram.com/reliefwindows?igsh=NXJmNDVncG9oZzN4

....should be another variable of stimulation for our team. Players want respect and it appears we aren't getting any against Georgia. Kirby strikes me as that punk in high school who got away with everything, because his dad was on the School Board. Notice how he walks on the field, and argues with refs. He is treated differently than other coaches.

I haven't heard anything about this guy this season. I know who he is behind A Hill. Is he doing well behind the scenes. I thought he might take over at middle next year with Ant Hills probably departure to NFL. Any mods have any scoop on him? Wasn't he a composite 5 star?

When No. 11 Texas faces fifth-ranked Georgia in Athens next Saturday (6:30 p.m., ABC), it will do so on the heels of the Bulldogs’ most complete performance of the season. Kirby Smart’s team rolled up a season-high 567 yards of total offense in Saturday’s 41-21 dispatching of Mississippi State. Georgia (8-1, 6-1 SEC) ran for 303 yards and averaged 7.7 yards per play on an afternoon in which Gunnar Stockton (18-for-29 passing for 264 yards and three touchdowns) led five consecutive touchdown drives after a first-quarter fumble in the red zone. A defense entered Saturday’s game with a Power Four-low eight sacks recorded through eight games. After allowing a 14-pla…
