OTF is on the road this morning at Pflugerville Weiss for a quick check in on some of the top youngsters in the state. 2027 WR Tre Moore has been a frequent visitor at Texas and is ranked as the No. 1 WR in the state. 2027 WR Jordan Frohock has a handful of D1 offers. 2026 OL JJ Mays is committed to Texas Tech. Plenty of updates ahead.

Starting off, Texas has to win out and does need a little help, but not anything crazy IMO. Texas Resume 9-3 season 3 Top 10 Wins 2 losses versus Top 5 Teams 6 toughest Schedule in NCAA Team Ranks ahead of Texas in the CFP Ohio State Indiana Texas A&M Georgia Texas Tech Ole Miss Oregon Oklahoma Notre Dame Alabama BYU Utah Miami Vanderbilt USC Georgia Tech Texas What Texas needs to happen to get in (these all should happen) 1) OSU beats Michigan 2) Tennessee beats Vandy 3) Tech beats BYU 4) Oregon beats USC 5) Georgia beats Georgia …

Offense (2 deep) QB - Arch Manning (KJ Lacy) RB - CJ Baxter OR Tre Wisner WR - Emmett Mosley OR Ryan Wingo WR - Parker Livingstone (Kaliq Lockett OR Jamie Ffrench) WR - DeAndre Moore Jr (Daylon McCutcheon OR Jermaine Bishop) TE - Jack Endries (Nick Townsend) LT - Trevor Goosby (Nick Brooks) LG - Conner Stroh OR Neto??? C - Conner Robertson (Daniel Cruz) RG - Nate Kibble OR ??? RT - Brandon Baker (Andre Cojoe) Biggest Holes: LG, RG, and RB. We don’t have 1 starting caliber Guard on the team going into next year and we yet have 2 open starting spots (gulp). I think we need a bruising RB from the portal who has no injury history. The rest of the…

I have been hearing and thinking about the travels of Lane's family and he has been around a bit. He has Ole Miss working and is the son of a legendary coach in Monte. Here begins what I do not understand. Why is he the top candidate for so many searches? He has a longer history that is neutral or bad- Tenn, USC, the Raiders to name a few.... But he was a Saban rehab project (so is Sark, but when we hired him there were not schools and NFL teams clamoring for him, although Lane had 2 stops as a HC between the 2 events) Here is where that thinking took me- coach rankings based on some categories. These are my impressions and and totally subject to my biases (whic…

First off I love Coach Sark. I dont think he is perfect but who is? I think offseason adjustments are needed but that’s every year. While not trying to be an alarmist about Sark leaving….First the Diana Rousini report. Now des howard talking about Sark being gone. Have heard many shows hinting…I know a lot of people want to think Diana is a “click bait” reporter, but she is not and even @Gerry Hamilton confirmed what she said was true. Des is Des, but he is not only one saying all of this. There is a lot of smoke here. Something to monitor. Would love for it to be untrue but with no focus on 2027 class, idk what to think. Im taking it all with a grain of s…

Morning everybody, It’s been a while since I’ve seen Texas media—both adjacent and direct—this fired up. Winning does that. Between unrest, anger, disappointment, and just general exhaustion, @Bobby Burton made a solid point on Coffee and Football this morning: a lot of Texas fans sound like they’re moving through the seven stages of grief. What bothers me is what the grief is actually about. Is it grieving the death of playoff hopes? Because, while unlikely, ESPN still gives Texas roughly a 1-in-5 shot. To me, this “grief” feels deeper. I liken it to watching your facorite show start to lose it's luster/quality and then end (i.e. the Sopranos or insert you…

From my vantage point there is a clear root cause of the downfall of the football program. It is Sark being the God King (simultaneously HC, GM, and OC). I would argue he has clearly failed in all three capacities. - As a GM he turned one of the largest NIL budgets into an exceptionally mediocre roster, particularly on offense - As an OC he has presented an offense that can't run the ball, can't consistently protect the passer, can't score in the red zone, and can barely pick up first downs against top level opponents - As a HC he has a team that is extremely penalty and mistake prone and incapable of complimentary football I don't think Sark is b…

Texas was positioned to get the ball back with under four minutes to go in the third quarter of Saturday’s 35-10 loss to Georgia. The Bulldogs lined up for a fourth-and-1 from their own 36. With the Longhorns poised to seize momentum, the championship pedigree of Kirby Smart’s program took it back and held onto it en route to a third win over Steve Sarkisian’s club in 13 months. Texas (7-3, 4-2 SEC) cut the Georgia (9-1, 7-1) lead to four points when Arch Manning found Ryan Wingo in the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown with 5:27 left in the third quarter. After Gunner Stockton and Chauncey Bowens connected for a 10-yard gain for the first of two fourth-down conve…

...he took a horrific program and has built it into one that is much better than before. He is a very hard worker and great at recruiting being honest and caring. He loves his players and that is evident. He has a system and rarely deviates from what he believes equals success. He is articulate and not an asshole. He played the game at a high level and favors what players go through, because he can relate. We have no patience as Longhorn fans, self included, but next year Arch will be much better and our team won't be so young. Hopefully we can end the season on a high note. I do wish he would give up play calling and focus on the big picture. But I believe in Sark.

Sean Miller Talks 2026 Class *** Texas MBB head coach Sean Miller spoke with the media on Monday, where he was able to share thoughts on his signing day class for the first time. 6–6 CG Bo Ogden – Austin (TX) Westlake High "Bo, I talked about him the other day. Super excited to have Bo. He is going to blaze his own trail at The University of Texas. He had plenty of other great opportunities and choices that he could have taken advantage of. We are thrilled that he decided to stay at home. But Bo's size at 6-foot-6 and his skill level, there aren't a lot of guys who know how to play the game and stand 6-foot-6, who can shoot the ball, pass the ball and …
