Miss State, Vandy and now UGA QBs have had their best games against Texas. Florida and Kentucky had greats games too. Only SEC qb to have a bad game against Texas is Mateer. With Green and reed coming into Austin this seems concerning for an “elite” defense

I also wanted to share my opinion on how i really think this team is almost identical to the Texas team of 2022. New starting Qb, a bunch of young Olinemen, young receivers, lots of expectations and a whole lot more disappointment. I hope the next few years go better then the two that followed 2022, just need to figure out the main issue (coaching). Hook’Em!

I wanted to be wrong but, sadly I wasn’t, some of yall may not know or care who me and hashtag were, and you can harass me in my dms as grown men (again) which is completely fair, but we all saw the product tonight. It isn’t going to change unless a specific person is gone. I do apologize to @Oldest Horn though…sadly our current football situation has led us to turn on each other as fans. Farewell.

Let’s start with what’s objectively fantastic about Texas hanging on for a 34-31 win over No. 9 Vanderbilt, and that’s the start of the game. The season-saving closing moments of last Saturday’s 45-38 overtime win over Mississippi State carried the Longhorns into a game at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for the first time in 42 days. Well Texas loses another one this season basically getting embarrassed coaching wise. I mean you have two weeks to get ready, and it’s just not there man. This was just simply disastrous. There’s no excuse to have as much talent as Texas has and go into a do or die game and commit as much penalty’s as they did. It’s just really painful to watch. I really don’t know personally the solution for all of this. All I know is that this team is really young and absolutely will get better, but there needs to be accountability for everyone in this program. Tonight’s game highlighted the gap between a good coach and a truly great one. Sarkisian hasn’t lived up to the offensive genius hype—against quality opponents, he’s been mediocre at best. After five seasons, it’s hard to expect any real change. Same issues every year: penalties, red-zone struggles, third-down woes. This is Sark’s offense and scheme. It won’t change. This is who we are.

I re-watched the Mississippi State game last night with a focus on the wide receivers — and a few things became very clear. 1. Emmett Mosley V should be our WR1. He deserves the most targets moving forward. Mosley is our best route runner, has the strongest hands, and shows the best body control and catch radius of the group. Yes, we all saw that incredible toe-tap catch in overtime — but what impressed me just as much was how he drew two defensive pass interference calls on a key 4th-quarter drive. Texas has offered 2026 Georgetown (TX) RB Jett Walker. I’ve seen Walker in person, he’s a total playmaker at 6-foot-2-inches tall. Walker committed to Minnesota after previously being a member of the West Virginia class. As a junior, Walker ran for 2,351 yards and 37 TDs on 10.83 yards per carry. He is a big play waiting to happen.
