I was initially opposed to idea of 24 team playoff bracket but I’m liking it more and more, thinking about first 2 rounds of games played at college campuses. Joel Klatt did a nice overview a couple weeks back, 1-8 get a first round bye and each host 2nd round. 9-16 host 17-24 in first round. Four major conferences get 4 automatic bids. ND automatic if top 20. 6 committee picks based on rankings, meaning SEC depth likely results in at least another 3-4 teams from SEC for a total of 7-8 each year. Quarterfinals stay same in big bowl games on NYE and 3 games on NYD. Semi-finals and NC stay same. The first two years at 12 teams was good but I lov…

Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. has been named a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award. The Bednarik Award is presented annually to the most outstanding defensive player in college football. There are 20 semifinalists across the country at the moment. Hill has a team-high 63 total tackles and three forced fumbles, to go along with 6.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and one interception.

Hi Bobby: Rewatching UGA vs Tide 2025 game, I think the Longhorns should have a Passing gameplan to open the Running game. They are vulnerable to the deep pass. The Tides with Ty Simpson showed it and Arch is a better mobile Qb. UGA running game is their strength but I think we can neutralize it.

Stanford commit on offer watch Offensive line coach Kyle Flood watch Georgetown High OT/IOL and Stanford commit Kaden Scherer Friday night. OTF talked to a source close to the recruitment, and the feedback was Texas has liked what they have seen this season on tape, and in person Friday. OTF is placing the 6-foot-6, 285-pounder on potential "offer watch", and we will not be surprised if an OV is set up the Arkansas game weekend. Scherer picked Stanford over Northwestern and Kansas State after the May-June OV process. He cancelled an OV to Virginia.
