To no surprise, Texas K Bert Auburn has been named to the 2024 Lou Groza Award Watch List. Auburn grew into one of the country’s top kickers in 2023, making more field goals than any kicker in the land. I am sure most Texas fans would prefer not to have to use Auburn as much this season, but regardless, a great weapon to have for the Texas offense.

We all know that Sark does not like for his quarterbacks to run. If Sark sees his QB in a jam and needs to skedaddle, Sark might be inclined to yell "RUN" like the rest of us. It occurred to me that Sark's successful system at USC was beaten by Vince Young's sensational running. Is this a flaw in Sark's system? Fall camp starting. Let's talk football. The Texas rush defense improved tremendously over the past 3 seasons. Believe our rush D improving each year helped us go from 5-7 to 8-5 to 12-2. Ewers/OL/WRs improvements in yr 3 was also necessary to help us go from 8-5 to 12-2.
