I know this may not be the favorite topic for Longhorn fans, but I've been watching for the last couple of weeks, and I'm going with Olin Buchanan. Nunez is just pretty boy stupid. Every day he can't wait to say Texas isn't ready. If you're that focused on someone other than your own team, you don't have much confidence in your own team. Furthermore, he offers nothing to back it up. Listening to Liucci is like listening to a lefty stoner talk about politics. Buchanan actually says reasonable things. Would Sark consider inside zone/trap/zone stretch utilizing a big z or h back via J Davis or J Washington like J Gibbs used in his misdirection offense using someone like Agbo as a big back making defenses think it's a pass and he's there for pass pro? Texas junior quarterback Quinn Ewers has been named to the preseason watch list for the Davey O'Brien Award for the second-consecutive season, the Davey O'Brien Foundation announced Thursday. The Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award is presented annually to the nation's best college quarterback. Ewers was selected as a semifinalist for the award during the 2023 season. Texas has had three players receive the Davey O'Brien Award, including a pair of quarterbacks. Sources have indicated to OnTexasFootball the injury bug bit again at practice Monday afternoon. We do not know severity at this point and we are withholding the name of the player. UPDATE: Given another source has mentioned the name, we will say the player referenced above is freshman RB Christian Clark. We still do not know the severity of the injury, although it sounds like a non-contact injury.
