Chad Simmons just posted an article saying Nick Brooks was nearing a decision and eyeing August 23rd or August 30th as a date. With that said, how many recruits are committing this month? Here's what I can think of Kaliq Lockett - August 7th DJ Sanders - August 8th Michael Fasusi - August 24th Jaime Ffrench - August 30th Nick Brooks - Maybe August 23rd or 30th Michael Terry - Maybe sometime this month Those are 6 BIG time recruits potentially coming off the board. Any others I am missing?

If Texas does not get atleast 2 more interior D Line, 1 more LB, and 2 more CBs, can this recruiting class be considered a success? There are still some very large holes in this class IMO that need to be filled.

As the season approaches and the kool aid is drank.... I feel myself worrying about Colorado State and their passing game. Now I know their qb is not Caleb Williams...However, It will be an early gauge of how far we have come from last year's poor passing defense. Now, I do believe our pass rush will assist with the coverage lapses; but the PTSD in me just wont let it go..toss that in with the fact that I bet the team is preparing more for Mich than CSU..and I start to let a tinyyyyyyyyy bit leak out *only pant pissers will get that reference* -Sincerely Ungirded Loins PS. OnTexasFootball does have Thursday, August 8 as the date we expect Bellville (Texas) High defensive lineman D.J. Sanders to announce his decision. This is not expected to be a press conference, hats on the table type announcement. It's will likely be a social media commitment. Texas and Michigan considered the top two from one source. But OTF isn't ready to say Texas A&M can't win this one too. It's a wildcard recruitment. Sanders and his family have been in constant communication with Sarkisian, Kenny Baker and area recruiter Blake Gideon.

I Was just browsing the 24/7 website. I find it quite odd that with the commitment less than 3 days away only one of their esteemed experts has a crystal ball pick. Do they wait until its a done deal to put an expert opinion in? It's only 3 days away. I guess I will tip my hat to Mike Roach for at least giving it the old college try. I have to think the rest of them are frauds.

Former high school coaches such as Texas Tech's Joey McGuire and UTSA's Jeff Traylor believe a June Signing Day benefits both recruits and college programs. College lifers such as Texas's Steve Sarkisian, Texas A&M's Mike Elko and North Texas's Eric Morris, however, are opposed. “I think last year, the high school player was not protected, where the signing date was in the middle of December and the portal opened and some schools were dropping high school kids because they were taking the portal kid,” Sarkisian said. “I think now, we’re still protecting the high school kid in early December and then we can get ourselves into the portal.” Read the full story …

I know for a fact that there are Sooners who hide out and post here. This is what I want to know. The criminal interlopers love to talk about the QB Heisman winners. They also love to now say that Riley was some kind of fake that harmed their program. Are they ready to admit that all those big QB numbers they had under Riley were fake? Heisman voters were caught up in the video game numbers without understanding (or caring) that it was all just a show? This is not to mention that five of their six titles (all under Wilkinson and Switzer) were accomplished while cheating. If they want to talk about "tradition," they should be compared to San Quentin.
