Reading stuff from NFL reporters on the Cowboys contract talks seems to me liking reading five year olds talking about nuclear physics. When has it ever worked out for the Cowboys when they gave a big extension to a current player who hasn't produced in the clutch? I'll tell you when: never. They shouldn't pay top dollar to Prescott, Lamb or Parsons until those guys deliver clutch time in the playoffs. These NFL media guys are idiots. Cowboys haven't advanced past the divisional round, yet they say they should literally pay these guys more than every player at their position. Why? I say let them all walk and backfill with talented guys at 5% the price.

Texas is back in the portal and come out with a strong pull out of Florida. The Longhorns have secured a commitment from Northwest Florida State College where he hit .346 with 15 HR this past spring. Texas fills their 1B hole with a big time bat with plenty of upside.

Texas has extended an offer to Anthony Davis Jr., a 2026 linebacker out of Grayson High School in Loganville, GA. The last five offers for the 6-foot-2 linebacker include USC, Penn State, Oklahoma and Ohio State to give you an idea on the athletic profile he possesses. Looks like it was Tashard Choice was the Texas assistant to extend the offer to the Georgia native. Texas continues to push deeper into the Peach State.

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but some of these recruits we miss on, aren't as bad as we thought when we "lost" them. Javien Toviano just caught a video voyeurism charge. Bubba Hampton is on the bottom of Alabama's depth chart. Terry Bussey hasn't joined A&M yet, not having a spring headstart like most of our recruiting classes these past 2 years, will hold him back a bit. Duece Robinson didn't blow the doors off at USC. I think it's time that we give a bit more grace to Sark and his staff when it comes to recruiting. These guys are talented at what they do, and Bobby and the gang do a great job of attempting to reiterate that with their coverage. 🤘🏿🫡
