I know for a fact that there are Sooners who hide out and post here. This is what I want to know. The criminal interlopers love to talk about the QB Heisman winners. They also love to now say that Riley was some kind of fake that harmed their program. Are they ready to admit that all those big QB numbers they had under Riley were fake? Heisman voters were caught up in the video game numbers without understanding (or caring) that it was all just a show? This is not to mention that five of their six titles (all under Wilkinson and Switzer) were accomplished while cheating. If they want to talk about "tradition," they should be compared to San Quentin. 

OU idiots think the Selman name makes it okay that they cheated all those years. Cheating is cheating. 

I'd much rather celebrate Texas than obsess about our opponents. Let's all agree to do that instead.

All of Riley's QB Heisman winners except Williams were transfers which they were pretty much developed at 80% at least before they got to OU.

Williams is his own special case of overhype. He never won a conference championship and he never won a bowl game. In fact, his own poor efforts contributed to those critical losses.

Riley is a good quarterback evaluator, but he is a poor QB developer, in fact.  Personally, I think that when he saw Sarkisian's offense, that scared him out of the Big 12.

Fake?  Seemed pretty real to me when they were whipping our asses with his fake offense.

I quit thinking about the Heisman as anything but an offensive award. If they committee wants to do it right, there should be a winner on offense and one on defense. And frankly even running backs and wide receivers are at a huge disadvantage.

I didn't say it was purely fake. They now say it was fake. My point is they can't have it both ways. They want to disavow Riley but claim the awards they won while he was there are a great part of their "tradition." Their tradition is cheating and getting away with it.

Furthermore, Paul Howe chose Texas, not Oklahoma.

It is really just a quarterback beauty pageant now. Look st Caleb Williams who won it last year.  Never won a conference game nor even a bowl game.  He did lose several critical games that made sure that Oklahoma or USC did not make it to the CCG or the Bowl Game, though.

It is a totally irrelevant award for people in a clubhouse in NYC.
