Quinn Ewers in the red zone vs. Georgia Saturday 2 of 10 for 5 yards. Also had an INT flat out dropped. Texas is going to need Quinn to make a big play for the team in red zone in the CFP if they are to make a NC run. I mean a late game, have to have it to stay alive type situation. My question to the board ... Can he or will he do it? I hope he does.

First let me say, I love the Texas Longhorns, and therefore I love college football. The special part of being a fan is the continued optimism behind every coaching change, every recruiting class, and every hope as a blue blood that your team is the next "It" team in college football. It’s crazy / insane that players are jumping into the portal when their team is about to start playoff run. This has to get addressed soon by conf commissioners to help improve roster stability at pivotal time of year. I liked Joel Klatt’s recent suggestion that they should move to only have 1 Portal Window and make it the month of May. That lets coaches and all players (new EE recruits and veterans) see how they stack up after spring ball. Make the month of May ‘free agency’ then from June (when portal transfers and summer enrollees join the team) through January (when EEs join the team) there is complete stability with no team hopping.
