Excited to see how the 2025 recruiting class fills out, but we will be in full swing of the portal season as well. Looking at the current depth chart, there will be a ton of talent that comes back next year, though we will still need to supplement through the portal (i did not list everyone, but mostly next in line / higher regarded younger players): QB Knowns - Arch, Owens, Lacey. Question marks - Ownens ready to be QB2?. Portal needs - None RB Knowns - Wisner, Gibson, Simon, Stewart. Question marks - how Baxter and Clark recover from serious injuries, could Blue go pro? Portal needs - possible experienced between the tackles runner. WR Knowns - Moor…

Two portal RB's ... There have been questions if the Longhorns would have interest in a running back out of the portal. OnTexasFootball can say that both USC (Manor High) transfer Quentin Joyner and Alabama transfer Justice Haynes have been in contact with Texas per a solid source. That doesn't mean that Texas is for sure pushing for a RB out of the portal, but Tashard Choice and Steve Sarkisian are at least entertaining the idea. Ohio State and Oregon are among those interested in both, as well. Joyner has visited Ohio State. Haynes also has Ole Miss, South Carolina and Michigan on the list. Ole Miss and South Carolina will receive visits this week.

I don't know the chances for either, but they both bring a ton of talent, experience and leadership to position groups that might be seen as a little younger next season. If I'm Arch or Sark, I'm selling both of them hard on coming back for a final season.

This is funny ... for a guy north of 360 lbs Keondre is surprisingly fast ... watch him stiff arm a 6'6" 310 lb OG at the 7 sec mark 🙂

I’m at the Texans vs Dolphins game and both teams’ passing attack is mostly horizontal or 5-10 yard range. Neither team has attempted a true deep shot. Maybe Quinn is ready.

Arky PB is 362 in Pomeroy. It is 330th or worse in 5 of the eight factors (four factors times 2 for offense and defense). It has played 4 P5 teams this year, lost them by an average of 46 points, and never came closer than 34. This is Solomon Bozeman's fourth season as APB coach. During his tenure, APB has beaten one other D1 program in a non-conference game (335 Central Arkansas), but it managed to beat CA in back to back years, so . . . Ah, the hell with it. Joke game. SEC+ if you dare.

Been here since Day 1 but I don’t like to comment. But love the guys and their dedication to our Horns! I’m posting my tickets because my Mother in Law passed away Tuesday and my Wife and I are in AZ with her family so can’t make the game. Only selling to recover the cost. Both tickets for $350. Well and the promise to cheer your heads off! Hug your loved ones…Hookem 🤘🏽

Klare wrapped up his visit to Austin late Friday and has since made his way over to College Station for a visit with A&M. There was perhaps some hope that Klare would lock this portal recruitment down after the trip, but that obviously is not the case and a trip to Oregon has become more of a possibility since his departure from Austin. Texas did a great job getting the early visit for Klare, whose stock has only risen since entering the portal. To finish the job, Texas will need to play the game of portal recruiting and NIL, as Klare and his camp know he is the top-rated tight end in the portal and will have his pick of where he plays football in 2025. …

I read somewhere that The CFP will control the music and entertainment in the stadiums for the home playoff games. Saw Buckeyes bitching about this because Tennessee is gonna have an intro and everthing at the horseshoe. Have y'all heard this? @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton?

A few notes on Clemson Clemson is a 10-3 ACC Championship team coming to Austin December 21. A deeper dive against the top 5 teams they have played tells a different story, however. Creighton is easily deserving of a 2 seed if not better. 31-2 on the season, on a 24 match winning streak. Only losses were 5 set losses on the road to one seeds Nebraska and Louisville. In matches against our mutual opponents, it swept Missouri and Mississippi and beat USC 3-1. Not a team with dominating length. MBs range 6'3" to 6'4" and the primary outside hitters are 6'1". Single setter who is a threat to made a kill--had 111 on the season. Oddly enough, the Creighton Coach is not a bald man. She's 3 time National Coach of the Year Kirsten Booth.

This isn’t related to Texas football but did anyone see ESPN’s report on Randy Moss being diagnosed with cancer? I think we can all agree that we’re hoping for the best with Randy Moss & his health. He is, after all, a football legend & royalty. Why then, would ESPN refer to him as “ESPN analyst Moss” as opposed to any number of titles you could use to describe him. Maybe nobody else cares but it just seemed very disrespectful to someone who should garner just a bit more imo.

Someone asked the guys today if Alex January would be in the rotation or if he would be red shirted, and I’m sorry to let you down, but even if he’s red shirted he will not play 4 years of football at the University of Texas. Just too good.

I assume if we sign a kicker, Auburn has no choice but to transfer our. But with our new punter, Kern may be able to stay and redshirt next year. It's tough because this year was rough, but with more time to develop and start later..... Would he stay?
