There are many adjectives I would use to describe the psyche of Texas fans after yesterday’s comeback victory. Elated? Excited? Thrilled? “Miserable” is not one of them. Heart is elite . That’s a distinguishing factor here- under previous regimes, we would get trounced when we didn’t have our crap together and guys would not fight. This team fights. The seeming lack of execution and preparation is a knock on the staff. However, they deserve kudos for instilling heart and fight in these guys. It is admirable how much they’ve scrapped the last 4 weeks, all on the road in big/hostile environments. However ugly it has been. We’ve seen ugly + lack of heart. Texas 17 Mississippi State 16. Texas' defense finally gets a TD on a pick six by Graceson Littleton despite not having Michael Taaffe on the backend. The offense scores a late touchdown to tie it, and an extra point gives them a 1-point victory. Mississippi State will make sure Ryan Niblett does not have a chance to break a big punt return by kicking it out of bounds and/or pinning him to a sideline. A strip sack by Colin Simmons seals the game for Texas. Offensive struggles continue, but they come through in the clutch to get this team to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in SEC play heading back to DKR to face Vanderbilt and Diego Pavia next week. Hook'em Horns🤘🐂

Since the arrival of CDC anyway. Is that almost every sport is competitive and realistically has a chance to make a run at a championship. Reading Blake's update on baseball, seeing the potential for the basketball teams, softball is in the top 5, volleyball is #2 and expected to make a run, swimming, etc. It allows for constant entertainment of being able to watch Texas and be invested. It's different than the days (and schools like for example Kansas) where a fan could only bank on one or two programs to be excited about and then the rest of the year is ho hum.
