Trend–O Meter Texas hosted 16 official visitors Friday and Saturday for what was the first of two massive weekends in the month of June. While a commitment has yet to go live just yet, Texas is in tremendous positions for a number of key recruits on the board after the weekend and earned several silent commitments after the festivities on campus. Kelshaun Johnson post visit update OnTexasFootball spoke just now with Kelshaun Johnson. The 4-star WR from Hitchcock (Texas) High told OTF that Texas and Texas A&M are 50-50 after the weekend. Johnson also said he’s unsure if he will make the June 21-23 OV to USC this weekend. This will be a Texas vs Texas A&M decision, and could be sooner rather than later.

Just a few team notes from this week: * New cornerbacks Jay'Vion Cole and Santana Wilson have both been working primarily on install this week. They both needed to get the calls down, understand the nuances of Texas' defense, etc. Over the next few weeks, they'll go more and more in depth with that with coaches. Cole's combo of quickness and athleticism has been impressive so far in workouts. * Colton Vasek was recently described by one source as one of the most pleasant surprises of the spring. Jeff Banks has extended an offer to 2026 tight end Camden Jensen Saturday morning. Jensen, a 6-foot-6-inch prospect out of Littleton, Colorado, currently holds 19 offers with Texas being the latest. He camped at Missouri Friday afternoon as well. The month of May was a busy one for Jensen, receiving offers from LSU, Florida State, Florida and Colorado all in the span of about a week. Jensen visited Nebraska at the end of April as well. Texas has added a visitor to its official visit list – 2025 Mansfield Timberview DB Nathan Tilmon. The plan is for Tilmon to officially visit Texas next week for a midweek trip June 18–20. Tilmon received his Texas offer on the morning of June 1 before the Texas staff hosted the elite camp on The 40 Acres. At the time, Tilmon had his official visits locked in for the month of June. He was going to see Utah, Baylor and TCU throughout the month, however Texas was able to sneak in a visit from one of the regional competitors. Tilmon is a 6-foot, 185-pound safety that can really fly. He carries 10.7 speed in his game and has been used as a two-way player in hig…

Riley Pettijohn, LB, McKinney (Texas) High The 4-star linebacker out of the DFW area will be on campus this weekend with family members. Texas has been considered the favorite since early in 2024. Pettijohn, 6-2 and 215'ish pounds, has already made OV's to Ohio State and USC thus far, and is scheduled to be at Texas A&M June 21-23. Despite the return of both Michael Taffe and Derek Williams at safety, it is simply going to be very hard to keep Mukuba out of the starting lineup come August. Mukuba is said to be extremely consistent at a fairly high level. - Of the younger OLs, Jaydon Chatman and Brandon Baker both returned from break ready to go. 2025 Mission Viejo CB Dijon Lee will no longer officially visit Texas this week he told me late last night. Instead, the plan will be to arrive June 18-20 for a midweek official visit. Lee had originally been scheduled to arrive this afternoon and spend all of Thursday and parts of Friday with the Texas staff before hitting the road for his official visit to Texas A&M. Texas continues to have plenty of ground to make up here, as Lee previously left the Longhorns out of his top four — Georgia, Alabama, Washington and A&M.
