The latest on 2025 DL JJ Hanne Spring and early June riser JJ Hanne (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) will make his first unofficial visit to Texas later this week. The 6-4, 275 pound defensive lineman will fly into Austin Thursday and visit Texas Friday per a person very close to the recruitment. The visit comes after defensive coordinator Peter Kwiatkowski made a visit to see Hanne in May, and PK and Kenny Baker offered June 4. Hanne will leave Austin and head to Eugene to visit Oregon, and is expected to make official visits in September. Texas Recruiting: Summer and fall targets The Texas Longhorns No. 15 ranked recruiting class has 15 commitments with the month of July winging down quickly. Around noon Saturday, OTF spoke with a family member of Williams', and the 6-3, 205 pound two-sport star will be on campus in Austin July 25 with at least one parent. 2025 TE Nick Townsend chooses the Longhorns! A big win for the Texas staff out of the Houston area as Townsend commits to Texas over USC, Alabama and Texas A&M. Townsend becomes the 15th commit in the 2025 class and joins Emaree Winston at the tight end position.
