Texas has offered a new defensive lineman out of the west coast. 2025 Rancho Santa Margarita DL Jayden-Jamal Hanne was offered by Texas DL coach Kenny Baker Tuesday afternoon. The 6-foot-5 and 290-pound defensive lineman has earned offers from Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, and Oregon in the last three days. Needless to say his recruitment is exploding at the moment. Hanne is from Germany officially, and is still relatively new to the game. A developmental prospect, but the tape shows plenty of athleticism due to a multi-sport background growing up. Change of OV plans for 4-star Kade Phillips OnTexasFootball was informed by 4-star defensive back Kade Phillips (Missouri City, Texas/Hightower) that he will no longer make a previously scheduled official visit to Texas A&M this weekend. When OTF was by Hightower High in May the feeling received by those close to the recruitment is that the Aggies were slowly fading. Texas A&M has four cornerback/nickel backs committed in the class already as well. The official visit for Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee is still scheduled to happen he confirmed with me. Lee dropped a top four last week that did not include the Longhorns – Georgia, Alabama Texas A&M and Washington. However, the official visit for June 12–14 is a trip he still expects to make. Per the composite ranking, Lee is a five-star cornerback and a top-30 national player. It is worth mentioning that Lee is the only midweek official visit the Longhorns have planned for the month of June. The latest on Tilmon this evening: Those official visits Tilmon did not mention earlier are Baylor (June 14) and TCU (June 21). As for if Texas will receive one, there issue at hand is Tilmon finding time for them to squeeze in. Texas is pushing to replace one of the scheduled officials as you would expect. Texas might be fighting a bit of a taller hill here after offering so late in the process. Tilmon has been courted by the regional in-state schools for much longer. Zion Williams post LSU update Lufkin (Texas) High 4-star defensive lineman Zion Williams went into last weekend's official visit to LSU with the Tigers No. 1 and Texas No. 2. The visit last weekend only strengthened the Tigers chances with the 6-4.5, 325 pounder, as one would expect. Williams remains scheduled to make an official visit to Texas June 21-23. Texas offered 2025 Mansfield Timberview and current SMU DB Nathan Tilmon Saturday morning. Tilmon committed to SMU on February 3rd, as the Mustang staff has done a tremendous job this cycle of getting out in front of a number of talented 2025 area prospects. Since then, he has earned offers from Arizona State, UTEP and now Texas. High 4-star defensive lineman Myron Charles has changed his official visit date to June 7-9 from the 14-16th which was originally scheduled. Summer conditioning begins Monday morning and the Longhorns will be taking the field with one more scholarship player than when the month of May ended. Steve Sarkisian awarded a scholarship to kicker Bert Auburn in front of the team during a meeting Sunday evening. Auburn was one of the Longhorns' most important pieces a year ago. No kicker in the country made or attempted as many field goals as Auburn and the Longhorns reward his contributions with a full scholarship. Eau Gallie, Fla., defensive lineman Brandon Brown, who is committed to Texas, has made it to LSU for his official visit this weekend to LSU. He plans to visit Tennessee next weekend, and then Texas the following week. But he has changed some other plans. Brown was slated to visit either USC or A&M the final week of June.
