There has been plenty of movement both on and off of campus in regards to top prospects and the Texas Longhorns for the class of 2025. While official visitors are now back at home, there remains plenty of tidbits filing in from the weekend. *** 2025 Ruston CB Aidan Anding is back in The Boot following his time on campus. Texas did a great job with Anding this weekend and player host Derek Williams helped paint the picture of moving from Louisiana to Austin. 2025 San Juan Capistrano LB Madden Faraimo is headed back home to the west coast. The visit went very well for Texas and Faraimo on the weekend. Faraimo confirmed it was his second time on campus, he had originally visited in early April — a very under the radar visit that was not leaked out at the time. Texas, Notre Dame, Washington and USC are the contending teams. Johnny Nansen is doing a fine job here and the Longhorns have a real shot at landing Faraimo who mentioned a decision will come in the next couple of weeks. View full news story

The 4-star DB out of Hightower High is going to be a Texas vs. LSU decision as OTF has been reporting. Phillips had a tremendous OV to Texas, as expected. A post-official visit update on the seven visitors on campus at Texas this weekend and where things are moving for each recruitment. *** WR Tanook Hines – Dekaney (Texas) High Battle: Texas & Notre Dame Trending: Texas over ND Hines was a late addition to the official visit weekend in Austin and snuck in for the weekend. Texas has been pursuing the elite speedster for a while, with visits dating back to July of 2023 and the Junior Day in January. The message to Hines remains on the offensive side of the ball as Hines' 10.45 speed is certainly enticing to the staff. OTF spoke with Ruston (La) High 2025 CB Aidan Anding prior to his flight home. He gave the Texas visit a “Ten out of ten”. Anding said he will spend time talking to his family and DB coach at Ruston High this week, and announce a decision next weekend - if not earlier in the week. The Texas Longhorns extended an offer today to Melissa High 2026 SG Austin Goosby. Goosby, 6-6, is the younger brother of Texas backup left tackle Trevor Goosby. Goosby has been one of the fastest rising prospects nationally in the 2026 class. He has recent offers from Kansas, Alabama, SMU and Oklahoma. Other offers include Florida State and Texas A&M. 2026 Aledo RB Raycine Guillory Jr. has re-opened his recruitment and decommitted from the Texas 2026 class. Guillory previously had committed to Texas following his first trip to campus on January 20. The Aledo RB had been rehabbing a knee injury and was unable to participate in track this spring as well. Texas just added its 2026 QB in Dia Bell and have continued to recruit the RB position in the state of Texas heavily with Tradarian Ball, Javian Osborne, KJ Edwards and several others headlining the position. The final official visit weekend of the month of June will see upwards of 20 prospects arrive on campus for a weekend stay at The University of Texas in the next 24 hours. So far this month, Texas has earned one commitment based off of the official visits, with a handful awaiting to go public. I know I have been vocal about the month of June being the match that ignites a hot run into the dead period and I believe that to still be the case. The Longhorns baseball season came to an abrupt end on Sunday afternoon following a 10-2 loss to Louisiana. Despite beating the Ragin Cajuns on Friday with relative ease, Texas turned into Jekyll and Hyde yet again and looked like a completely different team. Portal Kombat: Texas leads for Toppin? The Texas Longhorns remain in search of one more big out of the portal to complete the 2024-25 front court and roster. And the top target on the board remains very much in play for the Horns. OnTexasFootball brings the latest on the portal recruiting front. Texas has found their QB for the class of 2026! Dia Bell, out of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has committed to The University of Texas. The big decision of the 2026 class at the quarterback position has been decided. Texas hosted several quarterbacks June 1 for the Elite Camp — most notably Bell and California QB Troy Huhn. Though, we now clearly know where the Longhorns opted to go with their QB spot in the 2026 class. A couple of additional recruiting nuggets from the weekend extend a bit beyond the official visits. *** First, in the world of 2026 quarterback recruiting, Troy Huhn tells me that he does not have any visits planned for the time being and has yet to be approached by the Texas staff to attend the Pool Party slated for the final week of July. Huhn was scheduled to make visits to Clemson, Michigan, Penn State and Auburn since his last trip to Texas on June 1.
