There has been plenty of movement both on and off of campus in regards to top prospects and the Texas Longhorns for the class of 2025. While official visitors are now back at home, there remains plenty of tidbits filing in from the weekend. *** 2025 Ruston CB Aidan Anding is back in The Boot following his time on campus. Texas did a great job with Anding this weekend and player host Derek Williams helped paint the picture of moving from Louisiana to Austin. Anding is expected to make a decision in his recruitment in the next week. *** 2025 Mansfield Timberview DB Nathan Tilmon has re-opened his recruitment after decommitting from SMU. Tilmon…

2025 San Juan Capistrano LB Madden Faraimo is headed back home to the west coast. The visit went very well for Texas and Faraimo on the weekend. Faraimo confirmed it was his second time on campus, he had originally visited in early April — a very under the radar visit that was not leaked out at the time. Texas, Notre Dame, Washington and USC are the contending teams. Johnny Nansen is doing a fine job here and the Longhorns have a real shot at landing Faraimo who mentioned a decision will come in the next couple of weeks. View full news story

A post-official visit update on the seven visitors on campus at Texas this weekend and where things are moving for each recruitment. *** WR Tanook Hines – Dekaney (Texas) High Battle: Texas & Notre Dame Trending: Texas over ND Hines was a late addition to the official visit weekend in Austin and snuck in for the weekend. Texas has been pursuing the elite speedster for a while, with visits dating back to July of 2023 and the Junior Day in January. The message to Hines remains on the offensive side of the ball as Hines' 10.45 speed is certainly enticing to the staff. Should the Longhorns take a commitment from Hines, I have a hard time not seeing him …

Questions to be answered Steve Sarkisian and staff will close out the busy month of June later this morning with the last weekend of official visitors heading home. OnTexasFootball takes a look at some of the questions that will have to be answered as prospects get closer to making decisions. Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett Saturday night's festivities ended with at least five parents of visitors throwing the Horns up. One of those were the Ffrench's. OTF continues to like where Texas sits in the recruitment of the Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin High WR. What happens with Lockett remains more of a wildcard, but OTF was told that the Lockett famil…

OTF spoke with Ruston (La) High 2025 CB Aidan Anding prior to his flight home. He gave the Texas visit a “Ten out of ten”. Anding said he will spend time talking to his family and DB coach at Ruston High this week, and announce a decision next weekend - if not earlier in the week. OTF believes Texas is in a pretty good spot. Texas, Miami, Arkansas and TCU the final four. View full news story

The Texas Longhorns extended an offer today to Melissa High 2026 SG Austin Goosby. Goosby, 6-6, is the younger brother of Texas backup left tackle Trevor Goosby. Goosby has been one of the fastest rising prospects nationally in the 2026 class. He has recent offers from Kansas, Alabama, SMU and Oklahoma. Other offers include Florida State and Texas A&M. 2026 Aledo RB Raycine Guillory Jr. has re-opened his recruitment and decommitted from the Texas 2026 class. Guillory previously had committed to Texas following his first trip to campus on January 20. The Aledo RB had been rehabbing a knee injury and was unable to participate in track this spring as well. Texas just added its 2026 QB in Dia Bell and have continued to recruit the RB position in the state of Texas heavily with Tradarian Ball, Javian Osborne, KJ Edwards and several others headlining the position. One final look at the uncommitted prospects on campus this weekend for official visits during the final visit weekend of June. Texas will host seven committed prospects on campus for official visits, eight if you include Isaiah Coleman who is also making the trip. Big opportunity for the extra recruiters to make a lasting impact with top targets. *** WR Jaime Ffrench — Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin Texas comes in this weekend as the favorite in my book. Trips to Tennessee and LSU have made things tighter, but ultimately the Longhorns were able to capitalize off of their April 6 visit and have the opportunity to put the icing on the cake this weekend w…

The final official visit weekend of the month of June will see upwards of 20 prospects arrive on campus for a weekend stay at The University of Texas in the next 24 hours. So far this month, Texas has earned one commitment based off of the official visits, with a handful awaiting to go public. I know I have been vocal about the month of June being the match that ignites a hot run into the dead period and I believe that to still be the case. While only one recruitment has decided to shut things down, over the next several weeks, Texas will add to its 2025 recruiting class and continue the trend of summer commitments as we have seen under previous cycles with Sark…

The Longhorns baseball season came to an abrupt end on Sunday afternoon following a 10-2 loss to Louisiana. Despite beating the Ragin Cajuns on Friday with relative ease, Texas turned into Jekyll and Hyde yet again and looked like a completely different team. Maybe it was due to a post-Texas A&M hangover like a couple of players mentioned in the post-game press conference. Maybe it wasn't. We'll never know, but it's something Horns fans have grown accustomed to over the course of a season that was filled with plenty of questions and little answers. One question that was asked the most over the majority of the season was what will become of Texas Head Coach David…

Portal Kombat: Texas leads for Toppin? The Texas Longhorns remain in search of one more big out of the portal to complete the 2024-25 front court and roster. And the top target on the board remains very much in play for the Horns. OnTexasFootball brings the latest on the portal recruiting front. The top target New Mexico freshman 6-9 forward JT Toppin is considered a Texas lean over Texas Tech and a couple of others as of Friday morning. OTF does not consider this a done deal for the Horns, to be clear. Texas has a very good feel for this recruitment, and remains in the pole position despite Texas Tech swinging big. Toppin averaged 12.4 points …

The wide receiver position in the 2025 recruiting cycle has been filled with stars and elite prospects atop of national rankings. So much so, that comparisons to the 2000 recruiting class with the Original Big 3 of Roy Williams, BJ Johnson and Sloan Thomas. Now, Texas is firmly in the mix for three five-star wide receivers as things sit currently – Dakorien Moore, Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett. The question – a fun one – has been posed for a month or two now, will Texas land all three five stars? As things sit currently, I would take the under of 2.5. While Texas hosts both Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett this weekend for official visits, it would be a su…

Lunchtime Recruiting Juice While you guys down Chick-fil-a, figured I would provide some juice to go with it. Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville (Texas) High Upping my percentage from 65% to 75% headed into the weekend OV to Oregon. Myron Charles, DL, Port Charlotte (Fla.) What would the No. 3 ranked class look like? The Texas Longhorns ceiling for the 2025 class is likely No. 3 if Steve Sarkisian and staff win out for a high percentage of top targets. When looking at the scenarios for a top 3 recruiting class, it was combination of highest ranked recruits (currently) and a bigger class at 27 signees. Quarterback (1) K.J. Lacey, QB, Saraland (Ala.) High #AllGasNoBrakes OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star Running back (2) Rickey Stewart, RB, Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill #AllGasNoBrakes OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star James Simon, RB, Shreveport (La.) The 2025 Recruiting Board The Texas Longhorns are hosting three mid-week defensive back visitors, and will then welcome 17 official visitors over the weekend to close out a fast moving month of June. And if one thinks June was fast paced, July is going to be wild with many top targets of the Longhorns expected to commit next month. OnTexasFootball takes a look at the recruiting board headed into the stretch run. Quarterback (1) K.J. Lacey, QB, Saraland (Ala.) Texas has found their QB for the class of 2026! Dia Bell, out of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has committed to The University of Texas. The big decision of the 2026 class at the quarterback position has been decided. Texas hosted several quarterbacks June 1 for the Elite Camp — most notably Bell and California QB Troy Huhn. Though, we now clearly know where the Longhorns opted to go with their QB spot in the 2026 class. Bell now joins KJ Lacey and Arch Manning as Longhorn QBs to have committed in the month of June, more than a year away from their signing day. View full news story

A couple of additional recruiting nuggets from the weekend extend a bit beyond the official visits. *** First, in the world of 2026 quarterback recruiting, Troy Huhn tells me that he does not have any visits planned for the time being and has yet to be approached by the Texas staff to attend the Pool Party slated for the final week of July. Huhn was scheduled to make visits to Clemson, Michigan, Penn State and Auburn since his last trip to Texas on June 1. As we move into the summer months, I continue to lean towards Dia Bell being the quarterback pick for Texas, despite Florida State becoming a bit more of a factor since their recent offer. *** …

A couple of nuggets ranging from 2025 official visitors to 2026 commit. *** First and foremost, one of the largest (literal) weekend official visitors is 2025 Lewisville OL Michael Fasusi. The five-star offensive lineman is coming off an official visit at Oklahoma where he received the Sooners' equivalent of the red carpet treatment. Fasusi and OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh have a strong relationship with one another and the history of OL development has been a talking point throughout his recruitment. Oklahoma brought out anyone and everyone on the staff with ties to this recruitment to put their best foot forward in this recruitment. The long thought in this r…

While there remains one weekend of official visits remaining in the month of June, a number of recruits have already set a date for their decision to be made public. Texas has already earned two commitments in the month of June, one from 2025 CB Caleb Chester on June 11 and the other from 2026 QB Dia Bell who popped Monday afternoon. Commitment dates are as fluid as anything in the world of recruiting, but a quick rundown of what is to be expected for the next month-plus, heading into the season. *** June 28 2025 CB Dijon Lee – Mission Viejo (Calif.) Monday evening recruiting nuggets The Texas Longhorns are coming off a huge visit weekend, and have another in story June 21-23. Steve Sarkisian and staff have a number of recruitments coming down to the wire. OnTexasFootball provides a few Monday night nuggets. Nicholas Townsend, TE/ATH, Houston (Texas) Dekaney The 6-3.5, 226 pound 4-star tight end will make the visit to Texas this weekend with his parents, and his cousin. Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M and USC remain in the mix with a decision expected in early July.
