…..over/under 3.5. I say over. We may have two of the best “hands” linebackers in the country.

The C Reed interview got me wondering what guys (or gals) would you like to see on OTF as guests this offseason? I’m working on getting Roy Miller, Roddrick Muckelroy, etc on when schedules align and I know @Rod Babers and @Gerry Hamilton have some runnings lists as well. Just curious who you’d like to hear from (and it doesn’t have to be the obvious names either). Early 2000s is easier for me, admittedly. Don’t let that stop you though. Throw some names out there.

This was when Johnson and Khamenia were seniors, and Sterling a junior... Isaiah Johnson easily the best player on the floor. Like not even close Johnson was a 3* and Nik Khamenia the 5* and McDonald's AA ... I'll say it again, Johnson is going to be a first round pick in 2027 or 2028 IMO Joe Sterling has some Fletcher Loyer in him, if his foot quickness is close enough to Loyer to be able to hold his own defensively. Can flat out shoot it, more comfortable with ball than given credit for.

I'd have Texas ahead of Miami for sure, probably Notre Dame and probably Oregon. I think anywhere from No. 3-No. 6 is a fair ranking for the Longhorns.

Given the science that correlates # of first round draft picks to probability of playing for national championship, Pate took 4 mock drafts and built an average composite. Drum roll…. By far, the two teams with the most expected #1 draft picks in 2027 are: Texas (4.25) -vs- Oregon (3.75) Next 3 in order were LSU (2.5), Bama (2.25) and Notre Dame (2.25) I’d take a national championship between the Horns and Ducks all day long. Let’s see if the final season results prove Pate correct. Let’s go. Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

If anyone has lingering concerns about Arch Manning’s postseason foot surgery impacting his availability or effectiveness as QB1 for the Texas Longhorns in 2026, Steve Sarkisian set the record straight on Tuesday. “People are overreacting way too much to this,” Sarkisian said during a live radio interview with Craig Way on Austin’s AM 1300 The Zone. “The guy had a foot issue that we had to get fixed that we didn’t want to do last year, obviously, right before the season and/or during the season. So we waited until after the season. He could’ve been back in spring practice, probably, in week three. But, again, he’s in year four in our system. So him throwing 7-on-7, h…

The Texas contingent making its way along the West Coast (Muschamp, Nansen, Clark, Baker, etc.) stopped in to see 5-star ATH and USC commit Honor Fa'alave-Johnson on Wednesday, a source tells OTF. Fa'alave-Johnson is ranked the No. 1 athlete in the county (recruited at safety by Texas). He committed to the Trojans in March ahead of originally planning to visit Texas on March 27. The source tells OTF there is no plans to visit Austin "at this time." However, this marks the second time the Longhorns staff has travelled to San Diego to see the five-star prospect. We're seeing the Longhorns dot all their i's and cross all their t's in pursuit of the saf…

If you guys aren't subbed to The Stampede, you better get in gear, as Coach Shipley would say..🤣🤣. They had a great sit down with Jordan Shipley. First interview since the accident... just an awesome interview and super inspiring. Shout out to Coach Brown and VY and the whole team over there. Prayer works... and when the worst happens, the best of us always come out. Again... no mater what differences we may have... we know how to come together for each other. 🤘🏿

After hearing everyone talk about how Texas needed to cut down on its penalties next year, I took a deeper dive. I looked at all penalties, even those that were offset or declined. I know am missing one penalty from the Kentucky Overtime as I could not get a play-by-play for those drives (not sure if it was offensive or defensive) In total, Texas had 119 penalties called on them in 2025 - 7 of those were declined and 4 were offset for a total of 108 enforced. for over 900 yards. Of all penalties called (including declined/offsetting) they are broken down as follows: OFFENSE - 64 or 54% DEFENSE - 40 or 34% SPECIAL TEAMS - 14 or 12% Of those p…
