  1. He's No. 4 overall on PFF's big board. Prepare yourself for the Simmons vs. Dylan Stewart debate for the next 11 months.

  4. I don't think is that much of a surprise. Still, it should be a pretty good season for the Southwest Conference.

  5. I was bored this evening and decided to look back at the past 3 seasons' results to see how Texas stacked up against the rest of the Top 10 performers based on overall record, playoff record and final season ranking. In summary, it's impressive to see where Sark has Texas relative to the other elite programs. Not a surprise but fun to see how teams stacked up. Also, worth noting that there were 11 teams with 30 or more wins over past 3 seasons. OU and A&M both fell below that line with only 26 wins each. Most Wins over Past 3 Seasons: Oregon - 38 (Most under-achieving of all the teams in playoffs, compared to regular season results) Ohio Sta…

  6. It's the second weekly honor for Volantis this season. He's also one of five Longhorns to win an SEC weekly award this season, joining Temo Becerra (March 3), Sam Cozart (March 9 and April 20), Ruger Riojas (March 30) and Anthony Pack Jr. (April 6).

  8. After yesterday's 7-4 loss to the Bulldogs, the Longhorns will go for the series win today at 1 p.m. The game is live on ESPN. If Texas wins and Auburn finishes a sweep of Texas A&M in College Station today, the Longhorns will be all alone in second place in the conference standings.

  9. He's got a chance to be the most elite contested catch receiver Texas has had in the PFF era. Collin Johnson and Lil'Jordan Humphrey were great, but Coleman has more upside than either of those guys ever had (with all due respect).

  10. I love his fit in Sark's zone running game because of his patience and ability to explode up the field once he lets things unfold in front of him:

  12. Yesterday, April 29, marked 20 years to the date that Vince Young was drafted No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft. VY wasn't an NFL bust, but his career should've been longer and more prosperous. FJF!

  13. I can't remember 1) when Arch hurt his foot (if it was ever revealed) and 2) when he started wearing that "leg sleeve." Any chance Arch was hurt early in the season and it took 5 games to adjust? Maybe the early woes were at least influenced by that foot? Just thinking.

  15. AUSTIN, Texas — As much as No. 4 Texas would’ve loved to have left College Station with a win over No. 7 Texas A&M three weeks ago, a washed-out series finale with the Aggies might’ve been a blessing in disguise. It will be as long as Dylan Volantis continues to deal as he did in Friday’s 3-1 win over No. 10 Mississippi State. On a cold, windy night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, Volantis won his third series-opening start in as many tries, putting the Bulldogs in a blender with 12 strikeouts and no walks allowed while scattering three hits in a six-inning, 107-pitch gem. The Longhorns haven’t lost any of the 11 starts Volantis has made in 2026. Volantis was good…

  17. Texas Volleyball Coach Stein Metzger named Coach of the Year by the AVCA. This is the 3rd time for Metzger winning twice before at UCLA.
