  2. The Texas Longhorns are set to host one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects in California next month. San Francisco (Calif.) Archbishop Riordan IOL Peter Langi told OnTexasFootball Tuesday morning that he will be in Austin to visit Texas March 16-17. He will make the visit with his mom and brother. Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood stopped by Archbishop Riordan last spring and in December. Flood offered the 6-5, 335 pound interior OL prospect September 13, 2023. Langi has seen his stock rise since the end of the 2023 season. He picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Florida, Miami (Fla) and Penn State since December. Langi current…

  6. The NFL released the Combine invitation list Tuesday morning. For Longhorn fans, the headline and takeaway was the 11 names on the Combine list who wore the burnt orange and white in 2023 that will represent the university at the next level. No one truly needs a reminder, but Texas will be joining the SEC in 2024 as well. The SEC for the last 15 seasons has been the gold standard for conferences in terms of NFL Draft production. On top of a full SEC schedule, the Longhorns will also take a trip up north to Ann Arbor to face off against the defending National Champions. Which leads me to the following talking point – how many NFL departures are expected from each…

  8. Most of the Texas coaches were back in the office yesterday. The Longhorns staff had already begun preparations for spring football but now must put the finishing touches on their plans. There is one key change to spring practice this year from previous ones under Steve Sarkisian. Sark has elected to begin spring practice the week following Texas' spring break from school. Each of the previous spring practices, Sark had elected to start spring ball a week prior to spring break, then give the players spring break off, and have them return and ready to go into pads. I asked someone about the move, about why Sark opted to compress the amount of time for spring…

  9. Happy Tuesday to all who celebrate! While attention for Texas fans will head east for the baseball series against TCU at the Disch, the Texas staff will be hosting prospects well into the evening. *** I chatted a bit with 2025 North Crowley LB Jonathan Cunningham late last night as well. 13. John Mills locks in Texas official visit The Texas Longhorns offered 2025 offensive lineman John Mills (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) on September 16, 2023. Since that time, offensive line coach Kyle Flood has made Mills a priority in the 2025 cycle. That includes multiple trips to San Fransisco to see Mills. And Mills and family have made three visits to Austin in less than a year. The 6-6, 325-pound IOL prospect and OnTexasFootball 4-star informed OTF Monday morning that his official visit date to Texas will be June 14-16. Texas initially talked to Mills about the last weekend in June, but his family will be out of the country that week…

  14. On Texas Football Forum · Started by VFL TX-EX,

Would anyone besides me want to see a Texas vs. Tennessee rivalry begin with our entering the SEC this year? I love the history of the two states (Texas history in grade school gave me reason to love Tennessee), the similarities between both the states and the two flagship schools, etc. Yes, I am biased as I graduated from both Tennessee (BS Ed.) and Texas (MEd.)

  15. Four-star WR Kelshaun Johnson locks in two official visits Hitchcock (Texas) High 2025 wide receiver and OnTexasFootball 4-star Kelshaun Johnson has locked in two official visit dates, and a third date could follow soon. Johnson, 5-11 and 165, told OnTexasFootball that he has official visits locked in for Penn State May 31-June 2 and Texas Tech June 7-9. The Nittany Lions have been all in on the Houston area speedy playmaker since offering June 21, 2023. That includes multiple FaceTime calls with head coach James Franklin. Texas Tech is leaning on teammate and good friend Lloyd Jones. Jones, 6-3, 210, committed to the Red Raiders November 4, 2023. Johnson…

  19. OnTexasFootball gets your week started with some Monday morning recruiting nuggets. IMG Academy 2025 DB to visit in April Texas offered 2025 defensive back Major Preston of Hopewell (Va.) IMG Academy January 30. Since that time, the 6-1, 175 pound versatile defensive back has been in contact with safeties coach Blake Gideon multiple times. Preston told OnTexasFootball Monday morning that he has a visit scheduled to Texas April 13-14 to meet the staff and take in a spring practice. Preston currently has 22 offers with 11 coming since December of 2023. The offer list includes SEC programs Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida and Ole Mi…

  20. 2025 Alamo Heights star athlete Michael Terry III will visit Austin in April for the Longhorns' spring game he tells OTF this afternoon. 22. The first signee of the 2025 class is no longer happy in "The Big House." Jaden Smith's 4 stars were tarnished and perhaps his won't be the only ones! Where will these stars shine? Hmm... not for Coach SMoore... Harbaugh is stripping the cupboard under his nose... and with every coach that departs... more players are saying why am I going to UM? I don't know when Harbaugh is going to take mine too. Clink... clink... let them start falling... perhaps there might be some Lone Stars coming to brighten Texas and DKR soon!
