Hey Bobby, Happy Super Bowl LVIII Sunday. Maybe this has already come up, and I missed it, but I was wondering what is the story is behind the lockers that you put in the room behind your desk.

Looks like Michigan lost co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale to the Chargers. The spring portal is looking to get pretty active. Texas may have a couple of chances at a solid DT.

OnTexasFootball 4-star Courtland Guillory talks Texas offer Klein (Texas) Oak defensive back Courtland Guillory has become one of the most sought after prospects in Texas since the conclusion of the 2023 season. Arizona State was the first program to offer in November of 2023. Since that time, 14 more Power 5 programs have thrown their hat in the ring. That list includes Texas February 1. Guillory, 6-1 and 175, provided his thoughts earlier in the week on the offer by the Longhorns. “Coach (Blake) Gideon and Coach (Terry) Joseph they came down to my school," Guillory told OnTexasFootball. "I had already met with Coach Joseph earlier in the month (Janu…

OTF also made stops at Texas High, Pleasant Grove High and Carthage High Thursday. Chad Woodfork and Texas Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks made a stop at Humble (Texas) Summer Creek in late January to see OnTexasFootball 4-star EDGE Chad Woodfork. The stop at Summer Creek followed up Woodfork attending Texas Junior Day January 20, where he got to spend some one-on-one time with Sarkisian in the office of the head coach. The message from Texas …

The final segment of the In The Pipeline series takes a deeper look at the revamped secondary. Whether it be via the portal or the high school ranks, the Texas secondary room has turned a new leaf as the move to the SEC nears. One thing is for sure: Texas added a ton of athleticism and speed in these position rooms since January 1. Cornerbacks On Roster: Terrance Brooks, Malik Muhammad, Gavin Holmes, Warren Roberson, Wardell Mack, Santana Wilson, Kobe Black Coming Soon: TBD For 2024: What was a bit of a question mark in 2023, now becomes a strength of the team in 2024. Texas should not have to wait very long to name their starting cornerback duo …

I think Cam will probably need 2 years starting before he is ready to go to the NFL but definitely could be gone after this year if he dominates the SEC with that massive frame. Amarius Mims at Georgia could be the model for Cam. Mims is 340 pounds and was a reserve player his first two years at Georgia before becoming a full-time starter in '23 and he could be a first rounder in April.

Time to move to the remainder of the front seven on the defensive side of the ball. Earlier today I spoke about the future of the trenches for the Texas program – and yes, I did remember Sydir Mitchell was on roster for those wondering. For this piece, a look at the edge rushers and linebackers. Two positions that have seen an increase in production, and project to be amongst the strength of the Texas defense for the upcoming years. Should be a fun rabbit hole to dive into. Defensive Ends On Roster: Trey Moore, Ethan Burke, Barryn Sorrell, Trey Moore, J'Mond Tapp, Justice Finkley, Colton Vasek, Tausili Akana, Billy Walton, Colin Simmons, Zina Umeozulu …

A quick list of the Longhorns' 2024 Recruiting Class Superlatives: Production - Colin Simmons, Tyanthony Smith, Melvin Hills, Trey Owens Hills may be the surprise of this list. But he was ultra-productive as a high school senior, registering 14.5 sacks. Fastest - Ryan Wingo, Xavier Filsaime Both Wingo and Filsaime have verified 100-meter times in the 10.5s. Most Athletic - Jordan Washington, Aaron Butler, Xavier Filsaime, Kobe Black, Ryan Wingo, Colin Simmons Lots of high caliber athletes in this class. These are probably the best of the group. Acceleration - Aaron Butler, Wardell Mack Butler's ability as a punt returner is impressi…

Just out of curiosity, who is your all time favorite Longhorn, regardless of sport, and why do you feel that way? No wrong answers here. Doesn't even have to be an athlete. I'll start. Mine is Colt McCoy. No one gave him much of a chance when he signed and Jevan Snead (Stephenville) was going to be the future. McCoy beats him out and eventually grew into one of the best quarterbacks to ever play not only at Texas, but in all of college football at the time. By the time he ended his career, he owned 47 school records. Incredibly good guy off the field as well.

Video My brother is an OU fan. He watched this video with Jason Belzer who runs the OU Collective as well as Vanderbilt, GT, Rutgers, Wake Forrest, etc. He is VERY transparent about how NIL works, talks specifics and talks about Dillon Gabriel and Cayden Green. Apparently OU spends $4M per year and is a top 15 spender. Each kid got at least $26k, with the average being $45k. The most insightful and behind the current interview I have heard. Sorry it is about OU, but super interesting.

National Signing Day threw a wrench into the schedule of the In The Pipeline series we have going on, but have no fear, we are doubling up today on the posts for this series. Thus far, quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end have been covered for the 2024 season and beyond. As we progress down the roster, we arrive to the biggest (literally) group on roster – the offensive line and defensive line. Focusing solely on interior guys for the defensive side of the ball. So, let's get to it. Offensive Line On Roster: Banks-Conner-Majors-Campbell-Williams | Hutson, Umeozulu, Goosby, Chatman, Kirkland, Robertson, Stroh, Cojoe, Baker, Kibble, Cru…
