Texas will be hosting 2025 Denton Guyer DL Xavier Ukponu for an unofficial visit on the big weekend of April 6. Ukponu has been a familiar face around the 40 Acres after visiting once again back in January for the Junior Day. Since then, Ukponu's recruitment has really skyrocketed. Now holding 32 offers, there was a revolving door of coaches in the hallways of Denton Guyer in late January to meet with the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman. The spring months will be rather busy for Ukponu as well. He has plans to visit LSU, Missouri, Oregon, Cal, USC, Tennessee, Kansas, Texas A&M along with the trip to Austin to see Texas again. There are three official vi…

Texas WR and draft hopeful Jordan Whittington will not be partaking in the on-field drills at the NFL Combine this weekend. Whittington spoke with reporters Friday morning ahead of the wide receivers day Saturday. The reason for the former Cuero star to not participate during the Reese's Senior Bowl was due to a hamstring injury he suffered in training. That issue has since lingered to the NFL Combine. Whittington will only participate in the bench press this weekend in Indianapolis, before using the Texas Pro Day as one final on-field audition for NFL scouts. View full news

Helmet communication Tablets on sideline and halftime 2 minute warning I hate the 2 minute warning. But everything else is awesome. Is the helmet communication really going to hurt Brent Venables?

Dallas Skyline LB Elijah Bo Barnes has released a top ten for his recruitment. Texas, to no surprise, makes the cut. The Longhorns are expecting Barnes to be back on campus in March for a spring practice. An official visit has yet to be locked in, however, the belief is he will be joining the Longhorns for one of their two big time OV weekends. Barnes will visit Ohio State in March as well.

The Dallas cowboys have had informal meetings with a pair of Texas wide receivers in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. The Cowboys pick No. 24 and No. 58, a bit of a challenge with where both Texas wide receivers are currently mocked.

Conroe (Texas) High 5-star cornerback Dorian Brew is a "likely" to visit Texas April 6 for the big visit weekend around Longhorns spring practice. Brew, 6-2 and 197 pounds, has district track meet that week leading up to April 6. The good news is the district meet will finish up Thursday, thus opening up April 6 to visit. A June OV is being planned as well. Texas remains in a solid position with the competition being Ohio State, LSU, USC, Texas A&M and others in the mix. Brew comes from a family of sprinters. His father Derrick Brew (Conroe High track coach) ran at LSU prior to winning Olympic gold in the 4x400, and bronze in the 400 meters. Hi…

As y'all know, yesterday I took a quick trip to San Antonio to catch up with the country's top athlete – 2025 Alamo Heights ATH Michael Terry III. I dropped some quick tidbits yesterday on the trip, but wanted to go more in-depth from our conversation today. Terry is up to 19 offers now in his recruitment and the Longhorns are squarely in the fold after offering officially during the January 20 Junior Day. "It is a pretty fun process," Terry said of his recruitment. "Getting to meet all of the new coaches and seeing the facilities of where I could be playing. It is really cool." The nation's top athlete has been recruited all over the place on the offensive…

Real quick on the recruiting front of Alamo Heights 2025 ATH Michael Terry III: Majority of schools are split at wide receiver and running back for where he fits in at the next level. Texas is still even trying to decipher what is the best fit for him. The message Terry is receiving most from schools is "get to campus and we will figure it out from there." New programs in this recruitment include Oregon, TCU, Texas A&M and Nebraska. Texas is firmly in the mix as well. Tashard Choice actually extended the first offer Michael Terry III received when he was in 8th grade. Choice offered when he was still at Georgia Tech. When I get back home, I will h…

We all know the trenches play a major key role in a game, if not the most important. Chad Woodfork, Edge out of Summer Creek HS 25' -I don't see any news on schools where is this kid leaning to if anywhere yet? He's the #3 best edge in the U.S. in our neck of the woods. 2. DJ Sanders, DL Bellville, TX 25' another top 10 DL in U.S. -I heard rumors of Texas A&M has good ties with him, but maybe could flip him. 3. Malcolm Simpson, DL Galveston, TX 25' top 10 DL in U.S. If we could somehow land all 3 of these recruits would be tremendous!

What does Texas have to do to make the NCAA Tournament? The Texas Longhorns once again ripped out the hearts of a moblike Texas Tech fan base Tuesday night. The Longhorns responded from one rough day at Kansas with an 81-69 win at Texas Tech Tuesday night in a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicated. Texas (18-10, 7-8) has a strong NCAA Resume currently, and is firmly in the Big Dance after Tuesday night. OnTexasFootball takes a look ahead, and the scenarios for Texas to continue to be comfortably in the tourney. Texas’ Remaining Regular Season Schedule 3/2 Oklahoma State 3/4 @ No. 12 Baylor 3/9 No. 25 Oklahoma NCAA Men…
