  2. Steve Sarkisian had to be just sitting back and smiling Sunday afternoon, basking in the roar of the football media over his Longhorns. Just about everyone, everywhere was talking about the performances of Texas football players at the NFL combine. If it wasn't NFL draft guru Daniel Jeremiah, it was Bo Jackson. If it wasn't Chris Simms, it was Chase Daniels. If it wasn't Rich Eisen, it was Tyreek Hill. Name someone, anyone, that had a microphone or access to social media, and they were gushing a wave of Longhorn love. This weekend Texas, for the first time in so long, was not merely a participant at the combine. Instead, it was a Texas Takeover. ** …

  11. Four-star WR Kaliq Lockett talks Texas Longhorns Sachse, Texas - When listing the top targets at wide receiver in the 2025 cycle for the Texas, Sachse High's Kaliq Lockett is one of the first few mentioned. Following the offer were visits to Sachse High by Steve Sarkisian, Chris Jackson and Tashard Choice in December and January. "Man, I was on the phone with Coach Sark last week and I talk to Coach (Chris) Jackson on a week-to-week basis," Lockett said Tuesday afternoon. "And I…

  17. Out of state edge set to lock in Texas OV 2025 Ensworth (TN) defensive end Ethan Utley has circled June 21-23 for an official visit to Texas he confirmed with me early this morning – 247Sports first to report. Utley has an official visit set to Tennessee set for the week before, June 14-16. At the moment those are the only two official visits set in the month of June for the four-star edge. Interestingly, Utley also told me he will not be taking any unofficial visits in the spring ahead of his commitment date of March 28. View full news

  20. History has been made in Indianapolis! Texas WR Xavier Worthy has recorded the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history — 4.21 seconds. On the second of two attempts, Worthy broke the record previously held by Washington’s John Ross at 4.22. It was a tremendous afternoon for Longhorns at the Combine with AD Mitchell also clocking an impressive 4.34 official time in the group previously. RB Keilan Robinson recorded a 4.42 time of his own as well. But for Worthy and Texas, this record is a massive win on the marketing front. Recruits have already taken notice of the broken record and the narrative under Sarkisian’s staff has already begun changi…

Why are the rules different at the college level vs Pro? Would it not be a better gauge and better preperation for the next level if the rules were the same? There IMO is no benefit to different rules for different levels of competition.

  24. Fourth and final day from Indianapolis for the Combine. Texas has one offensive lineman participating in the activities today – Christian Jones. Height: 6-5 Weight: 305 Wingspan: 83 5/8 40-yard Dash: 5.05 10-yard split: 1.78 Vertical Jump: Broad Jump: *** Great opportunity for Jones to carry on the momentum started by previous Longhorns this weekend. Also, a bit of a surprise to see Jones weigh in at 305 pounds. The Reese's Senior Bowl listed Jones at 318 earlier this winter. View full news

  25. I've been watching Chris Sims show where he's been interviewing Texas longhorns at the combine, and showing a lot of love for his longhorn brethren. I think it's time that the University of Texas figures out a way to bring him back to Austin by showing him Texas longhorns want him back. Maybe Texas could have a bring back the quarterback day, and bring back as many former Texas longhorn starting quarterbacks, which would include Chris Sims and Todd Dodge. Those two guys really don't get a lot of love from the University of Texas.
