I do trust our coaching staff and learned a long time ago not to speak in absolutes

Generally agree with GoHorns1 on all points. Would figure flood isn’t taking an offensive lineman unless he is completely unimpressed by development at a position. Let’s take a look at OT.  Goosby look a good at LT and Baker at RT currently. How do we feel about Agbo and Cojoe?  Maybe they are on the right development track but hard to say since Agbo lost a ton of weight and the regained it and Cojoe started school younger than Ryan Williams. I don’t really see any of the 2025 guys as immediate rotation guys. 

Are you counting on Bolden using his COVID year to get him a fifth year of playing time?

This is actually his fifth year in college.  Next season would be his sixth.

Not sure a LB is needed.

As for the DL you're going to have Mitchell get his crap together and January will play a bunch. Also will need plays from Hills and both Freshman. That 5 so at worst you must get 2 big time guys and 1 roll player? 

I'm hoping Nebits with his speed get a real shot next year. So you know who two starters will be. If Golden comes back he will be the 3rd starter. Can one of the two red shirt WR take that next step? New kids may find the field. 

OL should be good. Still think Williams comes back, so all should be fine.

No idea about that, which is why it was in the questionable category.  Something tells me he will return but that is just a hunch.

SEC imposed an 85 ship limit for the 2025 season.  There will eventually be a 105 limit, but it’s not in effect yet.

WR Knowns - Moore, Wingo, Livingstone, Ffrench, Lockett.  Question marks - Will Nibblett stay at UT and if so still be a WR?, Debose's recovery from injury, Butler's development, could Bolden return?  Portal needs - speed experienced WR, maybe second WR?

TE Knowns - Washington, Shannon, Townsend, Winston.  Question marks - Michael Terry H-back role if he commits, Niblack returning?, Randle development?   Portal needs - possible Helm replacement as TE1

OL Knowns - Goosby, Hutson, Neto, Robertson/Cruz, Baker likely starting 5.  Question marks - Could DJ Campbell return?, development of youngsters like Cojoe and Chatman, Portal needs - experienced starter would be nice, but Flood tends to develop and not take transfers

Nickel Knows - Guilbeau.  Question marks - who's the backup?    Portal needs - likely none if one of the CBs becomes Guilbeau's backup

S Knowns - McDonald, Johnson Rubell.  Question marks - Taaffe really gone?  D WIlliams' recovery, Filsame's development,  will J Williams be slowed by baseball / late football start.  Portal needs - starter level player if Taaffe is gone

K Knowns - Stone (kickoffs).  Question marks - Auburn's reliability.  Portal needs - starter level placekicker

P Knowns - Bouwmeester.   Question marks - does Kern stick around:  Portal needs - None.

P/K returner - no obvious ones now.  Question marks - do we have someone that is suited for either role if Bolden is done?   Portal needs - suspect at least one of the spots could be taken by a portal WR.

 

As of 12/15, love where we are at QB, EDGE, LB.  Eric Singleton would make the WR complete, and it would be elite again with Bolden back.  Tacario Davis would make the CB room complete.   Hunter would be tremendous for the DT room.

Yes should have a Covid year. I have a gut feeling he returns though not based on any intel.

Yup. Williams will miss spring practice with baseball. Not penciling him in for lots of playing time this year which is why he isn’t in the known category. I could be wrong as he is a supremely talented player. As far as hicks I’m not holding my breath that a reclassified 2026 safety will get much playing time this year either.

Just left him off as he is unlikely to contribute this year. See him as a redshirt and then step in when Moore is ready to move onto the league.
