It is all in his head. He is pressing and accelerating his mental process generating high anxiety. This in turn screws all his mechanics. This is commonly seen with all great player, and Peyton is a classic example. (from Colt fan)It was not until his later years he could beat the Bellichek defense. Eli won more SB because he did better with his anxieties. Arch may need to learn modern techniques to chill 😎. Go home at the bye week and chill with Arch Sr and uncles.

  2. A summary for those that don't want to watch the 3-5 minute clip: Bad Arch numbers: overall completion percentage - 55% (2nd worst in the SEC), but when you take away the throws behind the LOS it's 46% - Arch is affected by the speed of the game, and going against Ohio State week 1 may have him second guessing or seeing ghosts. - Young QBs struggle either because they are rushing plays, or they are too far behind. This is very important because Sark's offense depends on perfect timing so the routes are developed and the WRs have space. Klatt thinks Arch is "rushing" and ahead of the offense. He is looking to his first read before that route is ready, so he…

This afternoon from 6-7pm, we’ll be at The Hole in the Wall for a special live remote OTF broadcast courtesy of Hargrove Roofing. Texas kicker Mason Shipley will be there, as will Rod Babers, Gerry, CJ, Jeff, myself and Stevie Lee. Stevie has known the guys at Hargrove for a long time and will join us on the broadcast as well. Hope some of you can make it out today. We will also be at the Co-Op from 3-4 tomorrow as well. Hook’Em!

  4. Figured this would be fun. Let me know yalls thoughts T/F: 1. Texas beats the spread for the first time this season (currently 39.5) 2. Zero turnovers by the offense 3. Team has less than 30 yards in penalties 4. Defense forces at least 2 turnovers 5. Arch throws for 300+ yards

  5. Obviously there's A LOT of football left to be played, but ESPN has Texas under the "work to do" category.... which, obviously, is fair. Full article: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46271585/college-football-playoff-2025-week-3-bubble-watch

  6. Unfortunately Texas lost this game to Texas Tech. Regardless, a cool piece of Texas history for you all!

  7. Per more than one college coach in both football and basketball, coaches are expecting the NCAA five years to play rule to be announced soon. When that is - some believe could be prior to basketball season. What it means is no more redshirt years. A college athlete will have five years to play, period. There are a number of ways to put those five years together, ie... two years at JUCO and three DI, etc... How that could effect the Texas football or basketball teams this year (all sports). Someone that is in year four right now, and currently scheduled to run out of eligibility after the 2025 football season ... are expected to get a fifth year. So a pla…

Doing some digging on how putrid the Texas running game has been this season and came across this statistic dating back to 2024. *** The last rush attempt by a Texas running back to reach 20 yards or more was Jerrick Gibson's 21-yard rush against Clemson in the 4th quarter of the 2024 College Football Playoff round one game. Texas has had 142 rush attempts by running backs since their last 20 yard rush. 20 yards is obviously a big play. So what about 15 yards? Well, in their last 142 rush attempts, the Texas Longhorns have ONE rush attempt eclipsing 15 yards on the ground. That was an 18-yard run by CJ Baxter against San Jose State.

  14. I don’t post much here, but I read most of y’all’s thoughts and tune into the livestreams, so I just wanted to get this off my chest. We all know Texas came into the season with heavy hype and then got punched in the mouth by Ohio State. Since then the offense has looked rough, with Arch struggling to find a rhythm while the defense keeps doing its part. Maybe that’s exactly what this team needs. Instead of coasting on preseason praise, they’re being forced to fight for every yard and figure out who they are. Missing some veterans hurts, but it also forces the rest of the roster to grow up fast. Sometimes it’s better to be doubted and have to earn everythin…

Is there a way to go and look at the All-22 film of today? I was at the game and would like to be able to see if what I was seeing in person coincides with what was on film. Pretty underwhelming game for my son and I first DKR experience. Glad to have it nonetheless! Can’t wait to get back later this season with both of my boys!

  17. Introducing the points per drive chart for the first time in 2025. For folks that are new, I view points per drive as the most important statistic when evaluating offenses and defenses. Of course, field position plays a factor on both sides of the football, but over the course of a season, this is the best indicator of whether or not one side of the ball is truly playing well. Obviously these numbers don't mean a ton, given most teams have played East-West Blind State for three weeks while some have a top-25 matchup or two already on the slate. As the season progresses, these graphs will look significantly different. A few takeaways: – Tennessee …

  18. The Texas offense’s inability to move the ball consistently and maximize scoring opportunities through three games is staggering. The Longhorns enter the non-conference finale at home against a 0-3 Sam Houston club on Saturday (7 p.m., SEC Network+), averaging 24 points per game and 5.39 yards per play. Steve Sarkisian’s fifth season running the program is off to the worst three-game start Texas has experienced on offense since 2014, when Shawn Watson’s unit averaged 20.7 points per game and 4.57 yards per play through the first three games of the Charlie Strong era. The reality of where the Longhorns are offensively, 18 days away from a trip to Florida for the …

  19. Going off what Sark and Arch have said in their media availabilities, it seems they’ve basically confirmed the mental plague that is the yips. When Arch compared it to flushing a 60-degree wedge, it immediately made me think about my own golf swing going sideways from time to time. For reference, I’m a single-digit handicapper who has played competitively, but I’ve still caught the shanks—and in Arch’s case, the “yips”—that remind me of Tin Cup. Instead of obsessing over what’s going wrong or how to “fix” the motion, sometimes the best move is to take a step back. Play with your buddies, clear your head, or in Tin Cup’s case, “look like an idiot” but stripe it pure. …
