She is the VP of the players union and came in 2nd on the MVP vote. Her voice is powerful. The W suffers from really inconsistent officiating, not valuing their superstars, yet the last two years have brought unprecedented growth, money, revenue from sold out stadiums, and league expansion. Likely we will have a lockout next year.

I was today years old when I learned there's going to be a collision of elite defenses in Gainesville this Saturday. 🤣 man some of yall should step outside, touch grass, get a dog, go to therapy... something, anything but be a fan of football. I've never seen so many people scared of their own shadow and to make it worse you're not even playing in the game. Every week is the same, win Saturday, enjoy Sunday, worry Monday-Friday, get excited Saturday morning, rage post for the next 3 hours after kickoff, Texas wins and now worry about what every other team not named Texas did and start looking for a reason Texas loses to those team. The funniest 💩 ever🤣🤣🤣

We have a great defense but they will get scored on, especially if the offense can't sustain drives or generate turnovers. Sark projects confidence put I am skeptical. I think the OL will be the limiting factor. Sark needs to scheme to minimize that weakness, otherwise he will lose his skill positions including Arch.

Jermaine Bishop, Jr. is now the new all time leading receiver for yards in the Houston area. That includes jumping names such as CeeDee Lamb and Matthew Golden. We are getting a very special player. Link

Texas and Clemson 4-star commit Dre Quinn OnTexasFootball can report that the Texas staff definitely remains in contact with 4-star+ EDGE and Clemson verbal Dre Quinn (Buford, Ga./High). Quinn was recently on a visit to Tennessee for the Georgia game. The Vols are a serious player. Quinn picked Clemson over Texas June 19, due in part to Texas having a loaded EDGE depth chart. We shall see if that thought process changes, but OTF feels comfortable saying the Texas staff would certainly entertain a flip of the 6-4, 230-pounder wanted to play for the Longhorns.

When the dust settles on Saturday’s SEC action, including a pair of top-25 showdowns — No. 13 Ole Miss hosts No. 4 LSU in Oxford and No. 5 Georgia welcomes No. 17 Alabama to Athens — everyone will get a better feel for the conference pecking order entering October. The good news for Texas, even with an open date on the schedule, is that more football must be played before clear-cut frontrunners for SEC Championship Game berths emerge. The Longhorns, who’ve spent 36 consecutive weeks ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press Top 25, might not get another chance to prove themselves to the rest of the country as a championship-caliber squad until Nov. 15, which …

Myself and Ms. Cajunhorn have our 21 st anniversary coming up. She doesn’t know but this Friday we’re flying to Sacramento for two nights of the Aftershock Festival. From there it’s on to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge and then to the Purisma Redwoods state park to see a Redwood. We’re doing Half Moon Bay and the Hearst Castle as well. We’ll stop along Big Sur when we see something interesting as well. We’re finishing in LA where I want to see the Santa Monica pier and then down to Venice Beach where I’m going to go do a quick workout at Muscle Beach and freak watch. Any other recommendations from you guys? I’ve never been west of Vegas.

At some point, opposing quarterbacks must stop picking on Jelani McDonald. According to Pro Football Focus, McDonald has been targeted 15 times in coverage through four games. That’s No. 1 among SEC safeties, and tied for 20th among FBS safeties, but McDonald has made teams pay for throwing in his direction. McDonald has allowed eight receptions for 76 yards (9.5 yards per reception). With two interceptions (PFF also has him down for one dropped interception), McDonald has held opposing quarterbacks to a paltry 28.1 NFL passer rating when targeting him. A dynamic athlete Texas recruited out of Waco Connally in the 2023 cycle, McDonald has thankfully found a…

What would be the scenario to see Dry Rub Brisket either fired or off to the NFL? And assuming said “coach” is gone, does that potentially open Mark Bowman back up with a shot for the good guys @Gerry Hamilton, or was the money so high it wouldn’t mattered if they hired Billy Napier as the next coach, he’d still be going USC. Enrich my life so I know what to root for!! PS. - teams dropping like flies today. Opens everything back up for Texas much easier but we need to see the SHSU offense week in and week out. I think we are damn near unbeatable if the O looks like that and the D continues with their upward trajectory. Also, it hasn’t been pretty, but at least our ne…

Nice chill weekend watching everybody beat each other up this weekend while the horns get healthy. Was Oregon or Alabamas win more impressive ? Is Dante Moore the new Heisman front runner? Ty Simpson? Why does Kirby throw out his entire coaching philosophy when Alabama is on the opposite sideline ? Is James Franklin allergic to winning big games ? Is Mike elko gonna fight the entire media room the next time he squeaks out a win vs a bad team? Feel like we got more questions than answers after yesterday

Florida has the money, the brand, and the fanbase—what they don’t have is the right coach. Napier’s clock is ticking loud, and the swamp is ready for its next ringleader. So who’s it gonna be?

Several players have redshirted after the firing of the coach with the intention to preserve a year for when they portal. If the redshirt is the players choice, and not from the school, that to me is akin to "opting out" and thus, I am not sure if I have an issue withholding the payments.

Was the expectations of Arch coming into the season a bit too lofty? Ummm, yea! Was his start to the season a little slow? You bet it was. With that said let's look at what he's done so far and why I'm not concerned, or haven't been concerned, and excited going forward. So far Arch in his first five starts excluding SHS, is 4-1 with 15 passing TDs, 1550 yards, 5 ints, and 7 rushing touchdowns. Not bad for a guy who if his name was Arch Jackson would be a 3 star. I don't believe Arch will be a three year starter at Texas, but with what he's done so far, and with usually the biggest jump is from year one starter to year two starter, I'm extremely bullish. Think of the jump …
