It took Mack Brown time to get the best out of Vince; it may be the same way with Arch. As Sark said, Arch is less like Peyton or Eli and more like his grandfather. Arch needs to run some and make off schedule plays. He needs to show his emotions, the team feeds off it. Arch’s issues arise when he tries to be robotic. Let Arch be Arch.

Ok it’s time what’s your score prediction for the game and what do you want to see 45 to 9 Texas arch get out of your head play the damn game

  3. Love that Syracuse beat Clemson by 13pts and Johntay Cook led all receivers on the day with 6 catches for 113yds. Hated to see JC fall so fast with multiple bad choices last year. Great to see him having success.

Uhh. Glad we didn’t go there. congrats to waxahachie on the big win

Hi All, I have a non-sports question I’d love to get your input on. We’re planning a friends trip to Scotland next March, and I wanted to see if anyone has any must-see recommendations— food, sights, and hotels. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

You predicted 56-0. Obviously, we didn't get there!

  7. On Texas Football Forum · Started by Traves,

Yeah….he needs to be an offensive player at Texas. Absolutely electric and what this team is missing currently.

  8. On Texas Football Forum · Started by Roy Hinojosa,

If Gundy gets canned, would it be a good idea to bring him in as an Offensive Analyst next year? If anything, he can help those transitioning to 40-hood.

Arch has 9 total TDs this season. That’s three a game. Over 12 games that’s 36 (the same number Johnny Manziel had his Heisman season). https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4870906/arch-manning https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/johnny-manziel-1.html

  10. Stumbled across an old Peyton Manning documentary which tells an eerily similar story to Arch's current situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_pnNDa0ytU&t=1341s

Could be a long shot, but I’m looking for 4-6 tickets for the RRS. I know we may have to split up, but I’m excited since this will be my daughter’s first experience. Thanks!

We’re going to see Brock Williams play tonight. He’s a five star TE who plays for Libertyville (IL) HS. Will report back.

Barryn Sorrell is beasting out to start the season. Through the first two games, he has the highest pash rush winrate in the NFL for anyone with more than 5 snaps @ 33.3%. 2 Pressures, 1 sack and 1 hurry on 8 attempts. This doesn't surprise Longhorn Nation but still amazing to see what we know actually play out for this young man. Can't wait to see him continue his upward rise.

  16. There is something clearly off with Arch Manning. The Texas quarterback has yet to live up to the hype so far this season. He has completed just 55.3% of his passes for 579 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions to go with 112 rushing yards and three rushing scores through three starts. However, when you watch Manning play, he’s played pretty poorly and nothing has looked solid. Manning’s issues are very different from the issues Clemson’s Cade Klubnik and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers are dealing with because they aren’t holistic. That Texas offense has quality wide receivers and running backs with a good offensive line. Has that group played …

  17. One of you local guys needs to go take some pics for us out of towners. Thanks.

If Billy Napier gets left on the runway, are there any Florida recruits that Texas would jump on? Groce, Guervil, Ford? @Gerry Hamilton

  19. The focus regarding which phase of the game most needs to turn things around when No. 8 Texas faces Sam Houston at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN+/SEC Network+) has centered around the Longhorn offense. Still, as good as the Texas defense has been through the first three games, Pete Kwiatkowski’s side of the ball could use a tune-up. Specifically, the last game before jumping into SEC play is an opportunity to improve the pass rush by putting heat on Bearkat quarterbacks Hunter Watson and Mabrey Mettauer. As far as Steve Sarkisian is concerned, the issue has more to do with the Longhorns adjusting to how opponents are trying to neutralize…

  21. We will hear from Steve Sarkisian in about 1.5 hours for his final update of the week. But I can share a few nuggets from the week of practice. – WR DeAndre Moore was on the practice field this week and the expectation is Moore gives it a go this weekend vs. Sam Houston State. – As for RB Quintrevion Wisner, Texas is going to continue to be cautious. The bye week following this weekend's matchup allows for an extra week of rest for Wisner who is looking to return to 100% from his soft tissue injury. This comes on the heels of Sarkisian saying RB CJ Baxter was "Doubtful" for this weekend's game as well. Expect a heavy dose of James Simon, plus Christian…

It is all in his head. He is pressing and accelerating his mental process generating high anxiety. This in turn screws all his mechanics. This is commonly seen with all great player, and Peyton is a classic example. (from Colt fan)It was not until his later years he could beat the Bellichek defense. Eli won more SB because he did better with his anxieties. Arch may need to learn modern techniques to chill 😎. Go home at the bye week and chill with Arch Sr and uncles.
