  5. Every play is a fight throughout top football (college and nfl). There was no fight, rather they played flat. Saturday's loss should have been alarming throughout the game and Sark and his entire coaching did not act ASAP.

  6. I don’t think he even needed to break down tape to come to this conclusion.

  7. Given the uncertainty around Baxter’s hamstring/health feel like we should give 1 of these guys a shot as a short yardage back. Barnes played RB in high school, in addition to LB. Townsend is a hell of an athlete and very physical. Saw on an another site that Wisner re-injured his hamstring on the td run. Really need to have a physical runner in the SEC for short yardage. Realize we also need some holes for them to run through.

  8. And look completely soft is because of this guy. Since he’s come back we have looked softer than Charmin. It’s the only thing that makes since… This post is a joke and if you get mad that’s on you.

  9. Nick Brooks should never play guard in my opinion. He is too tall to deal with the lateral speed of interior defenders coming up out of his stance. Brooks should solely be developed at tackle. Any thoughts on Brooks at guard?

Why not put Robertson in at C and slide Hutson over to LG? This has to be the simplest answer to our problems. Probably caps the ceiling, but I can only imagine that raises our floor very quickly. And then, if not that solution, why not Kibble (who was supposedly the backup swing OG in last years playoff run) or why not Chatman (who has at least been in the program a bit longer and has been looked up favorably at times in practice reports too). I’m all for Brooks coming in, but I don’t believe he’s a natural OG (dude is a OT). Mods - would really appreciate insight into why some of these other solutions have not been tried thus far. T…

  11. Texas’ 2002 Gut-Punch in Fayetteville: Razorbacks 52, Longhorns 12 Ah, the one that still stings like a bad breakup—October 12, 2002, when the No. 5 Texas Longhorns rolled into Razorback Stadium thinking they’d feast on a 3-2 Arkansas squad. Instead, the Hogs (under Houston Nutt) turned it into a 52-12 slaughter, with freshman phenom Matt Jones slinging daggers and the home crowd howling like possessed hillbillies. Texas got out-physicaled, out-schemed, and out-everything-ed in a game that exposed our soft underbelly before a 10-game win streak salvaged the season. Chris Simms? Sacked 5 times, looking like a piñata at a frat party. Here’s the raw, ugly stats break…

Hire him immediately as a consultant replace Flood in the off season. The Hall of Fame OL Coach (Pre-2020 Edition) Pittman wasn’t just good; he was a developer of monsters. From Oklahoma (1990s) to Georgia (2016-2019), he built lines that pancaked defenses and funneled talent to the NFL: • Georgia Peak: Under Kirby Smart, Pittman’s crews anchored three straight SEC East titles and a 2017 national championship run. They paved for a 2019 rushing attack led by D’Andre Swift (1,216 yards, 4th in SEC). He coached 15 linemen to the pros, including studs like Andrew Thomas (No. 4 overall pick, 2020). PFF loved ’em—top-10 pass protection, elite run blocking. …

Where is the toughness and nastiness of this O-line and who is the leader? I expected Campbell to be more of an enforcer on the line or at least a leader. I just have not seen that and maybe it happens in practice, but it clearly isn't transferring to game day. I remember watching Banks be that guy when he was on the 40. Yesterday reminded me of a Herb Hand lead o-line. Where is the leadership for this team?

  14. November 20th, 2022 after Texas blew out Kansas 55-14 in Week 11 of the 2022 season to become 7-4 and be the AP’s Week 12 #24 team.

  15. Some of yall might remember brooks from when he came on the show a while back. He does a good job breaking down all 22 and occasionally goes on rants. He had a particularly good one about the emasculating performance yesterday (ending is hilarious): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63orFl407M4

  16. Saying it with my chest. I think Arch grew up a lot today. We know we have a young and inexperienced team, so what did we expect?

  18. View from the Cheap Seats-Gators No Joy in Sark-Ville Welcome to the SEC, where even the bad teams are good. There is no way to spin this other than failure. Starting with the most basic principle of football, you have to win the line of scrimmage. The most concerning aspect going forward for this team is that we were outplayed on both sides of the ball. The Horns were outphysicaled for the majority of the game. This by a team that will finish in the middle tier of the SEC and likely is playing in a minor bowl. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, this quote is from the Preseason edition of the Cheap Seats, sub-titled “Don’t eat the che…

  19. It's going to be a long flight home. The Gators embarrassed the Longhorns and regained their reputation. Vince Young was right that Lagway a Houston native, was going to light it up. At this stage, Arch is an average Qb. The Defense and it's coaching staff is a disappointment.

  20. So I've actually come around from saying that Arch played a good game but wasn't helped enough to the opinion that Arch didn't play good enough early enough. He said it in his press conference, about needing to start faster. Arch needs to start faster. He really got in his element only in the third quarter and that's way too late. I get it, the OL didn't help and I'm 100% sure that with a little bit more help Arch would've looked totally different both early on and overall. Also, after he got going in the third quarter he also started to play hero ball too. That can't happen. Just needs to play his game, take what's there and move on. But it wasn't…

  21. If the ball isn't handed to them, they give up too fast. If the ball is near your radius, go get it. If it hits your hands, catch it. Livingston's catch was really good, but he got blown up. But he is the only one who competes at a high level. Wingo needs to stop relying on his press clippings.

  22. It trips me out that some fans seem to really be worried about Florida. Why? If the knock on Arch was let's seem him against a good defense then what do yall think Lagway is going to look like against Texas. Are we judging Florida on what they did to LIU at home? Lagway was really tearing up UGA either. Or if you want to bring up the LSU you game, 🤣, he was 50% against one of the worst defenses in the SEC. So far Lagway is barely a 50% passer against any defense with a pulse. Florida v Texas won't be close and I don't care if the game is played on the moon.

This is a rebuilding year, we just didn’t know it until now. Yes, we have a talented team with potential, and will get better, but we are not contenders this season. New leaders must emerge and players must further develop. Our line play has much to gain. We have some solid pieces to build on for sure. Arch Manning showed us something today. Let’s recalibrate and improve in all phases. We will be much better as the year progresses. It is what it is.

  24. DJ Lagway had the 4th shortest time to throw rate in the country for week six quarterbacks. The average time from snap to release of the football took just 2.32 seconds. As a result, the Texas pass rush was able to generate a season low six pressures on the quarterback. Four of which coming from Colin Simmons. The Longhorns did not sack the quarterback for the second time this season, both of which occurring in losses. Lagway was 15-16 on passes under ten yards downfield for 109 yards and most importantly, zero passes were put in harms way. *** I guess my biggest question to this is, after two weeks of game planning for a team that was the very w…
