As we sit right now, there are five teams in conference play that remain alive for a spot in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on December 7th. The Longhorns, with their one loss to Georgia, are among that group. It is odd to write "midseason" on a post ten weeks into the season, but that is how Steve Sarkisian referenced the bye week in his Monday Press Conference earlier in the week and thus, I will as well. Across college football there are a lot of meaningful games this weekend. The biggest game is Ohio State going to Penn State. A loss would put the Buckeyes on the outside looking in for the Big 10 championship game and could potentially do the same for the CFP. In the SEC, there are some games ripe for conference disruption. What do I mean by that? Well, Ole Miss goes to Arkansas. Vanderbilt heads to Auburn and A&M is off to South Carolina. Nansen in California Johnny Nansen was at Folsom (Calif.) High Wednesday to see 4-star++ DL commit Josiah Sharma. Sharma, 6-4 and 320-pounds, is solid with Texas per a source close to the recruitment. Sharma attended the Texas vs. Georgia game October 19th weekend. It wasn't perfect and box score merchants will point to the two interceptions as the biggest deterrent from a good day.
