Was Livingstone forced out, did they take away his NIL offer, or did he make a big NIL ask that UT rejected? CJ and Bobby both repost Parker’s twitter post, which says he was forced out. My initial impression is he made a big NIL ask and we didn’t want to give him a big NIL raise. He maybe wouldn’t have had a big role next year, but probably yes over the next 3. I’m sure it was discussed somewhere, but I can’t listen to every stream and couldn’t find the answer easily in the huge threads.

With the NFL season coming to an end, Sark name continues to come up as a great hire for NFL teams. With his experience and knowledge of the league it isn't far-fetched to assume that he has to have some interest in going to the NFL level. With Arch set to go the NFL next year Sark clearly depending on what team he goes to can draft him. Did he hire Will Muschamp as his replacement? Knowing the history of Muschamp at Texas he would easily get the head coach job over anyone else. Blake Gideon coming back will be the DC is leaving everything still on track to have a well-oiled machine moving forward. Offensive Coordinators will jump at the opportunity to get to Texas with t…

The first SEC game of the Sean Miller era tips off at the top of the hour. Texas (9-4, 0-0 SEC) hosts Mississippi State (8-5, 0-0) at Moody Center in the first conference game for both clubs this season. A couple of notes: — There were no injuries reported on either side to the conference. The availability reports for the Longhorns and Bulldogs are clean. — I'm told the football transfer portal prospects who are visiting Texas this weekend are expected to be here at some point. — Texas is honoring the 2005-06 team that won a share of the Big 12 title and advanced to the Elite Eight. I'm told the only players on the team who aren't here are Kenton Pauli…

I think Robertson had a really solid outing in the under armor game. Spent most of the night blocking Lamar Brown. he is definitely “in a phone booth” kind of guy right now.

The next day or two is going to tell us a lot about what type of leader Arch is. The administration has gone “all-in” making financial resources available this portal season and we’ve got the right prospects on campus. Everything is in place, now we have to close the sale. Is Arch the type of leader that attracts other high caliber players that feed off the opportunity to be part of something extraordinary or is he just a talented player with a famous name, arm talent, and some good wheels?

With Dmoore looking at Ohio St and Livingston likely headed to OU, I wonder what would be a good betting line on how many transfers end up on our schedule. (Only thinking about this past years roster and not transfers from previous years) I would set the line at 5.5. Thinking that some of our bigger time guys who left (Baxter, Wisner, Parker, etc) will probably be looking at SEC schools, and with some younger guys probably getting SEC looks based on HS recruiting /potential (so maybe not immediately starting), that number seems reasonable

Texas had a seven-point lead with 2:17 remaining in regulation, but it didn't last. Mississippi State ended the second half on a 7-0 run, Jordan Pope's shot in the closing seconds didn't fall. The Longhorns never led in overtime, losing to the Bulldogs on Saturday at Moody Center, 101-98. Dailyn Swain carried Texas (9-5, 0-1 SEC) with 34 points and 14 rebounds before fouling out at the 1:42 mark of the second half. Tramon Mark (20 points, three rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot) and Matas Vokietaitis (19 points and four rebounds) were the other Longhorns who scored in double figures. Mississippi State (9-5, 1-0) was led by the backcourt duo of Josh Hu…

Murphy is an absolute beast. I just watched him push the center on the lap of Brock Purdy. I'm a 9er fan, but I don't necessarily care for this year's team, but sheesh what a good showing tonight by both Murphy amd Collins tonight for their respective teams.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but something to keep in mind going into next year. Teams with first round byes are 1-7 with Indiana being the lone winner. The question is, is having a first round bye really that beneficial🤔

Last year the view was that we lost limited production/ leadership to the portal compared to other programs. Looking at other programs in Sec/ Big 10 it does look like we have lost more compared to other teams this year. A. Would you agree? B. If yes, what is driving this and why are coaching stability/ results on field/ NFL picks/ NIL $s not helping us retain? C. If not, in your view, which other major programs with coaching continuity have lost more than us to the portal?

Do most football players live on campus? Or is that typically for freshman athletes? With NIL, three or four dudes can rent a nice house together. I would love to have the TANK where one could pick up a great meal all day.

Texas State is taking on Rice in the Armed Forces Bowl right now. it looks like Texas State is going to keep its quarterback, Brad Jackson, out of the portal, which is good for the Bobcats.
