There’s been a lot of debate, frustration, antagonizing, etc. based on moderators, saying Texas and Sark are “all in” on the portal for the 2026 season. Some posters on the website and on the live shows have some real questions about whether or not Texas is really “all in”. This is the way I see it. I do believe that Texas and Sark are “all in” on the 2026 season. They are being more aggressive with how many players they are pursuing and how much money that will cost them. I was born and raised in Baytown, TX, and lived most of my adult life in the Clear Lake/Friendswood areas, so I freely admit that I'm a Houston/Bay Area homer. The special teams bonanza continues for the Texas Longhorns! Florida State punter Mac Chiumento has committed to Texas. He made the announcement with a post on his Instagram account. Chiumento was the Seminoles‘ 2025 Special Teams MVP. He averaged 44 yards per punt on 27 punts, with six of 50 or more yards, 13 downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and one touchback.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder out of Chardon (Ohio) Notre Dame Cathedral connected on 15 of 20 FG's, including 4 of 5 from 50+ in 2025. He kicked for two years at Ohio U. prior to transferring to Memphis for the 2025 season. Spetic lettered multiple years in football, baseball, soccer and basketball in high school.

Texas signs transfer long snapper New Mexico transfer long snapper Trey Dubuc announced via X that he has signed with the Texas Longhorns. The son of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons head football coach Matt Dubuc (played at Texas Tech 1993-96) was on the roster at South Florida in 2023 and 2024 before transferring to New Mexico for the 2025 season.
