  2. I absolutely do not agree. I would much rather have an exciting early season game to look forward to than play a meaningless game against a directional team. Things didn't work out for the team to make the playoff this past season, but to me that doesn't automatically mean we need to drop all games against P4 non conference teams in the future. Maybe don't schedule non conference games against the best of the best, going forward, but backing out of games is pretty cowardly if you ask me when you're a program like Texas with every possible advantage who should be able to compete with anybody.
  3. I was attracted to you guys via YouTube and I really enjoy that you guys produce a lot of quality content on YouTube. I was a long time (since 2003) member of another longhorn fan site but I dumped them because the message boards were so toxic. I've decided to give you guys a chance and one thing I would ask is that especially as you continue to grow, you try and foster an environment where people are treated with respect despite differing opinions. Since I joined after the regular season was over, I haven't really seen what the coverage is like in season, but I like that you are covering the portal heavily.
  4. Oh okay, I am so excited about our portal acquisitions, but really hoping we can solidify the line and avoid some of the struggles we saw early in the year this past season.
  5. I did a search for his name on the board and haven't found anything. He is the #43 ranked prospect in the portal by ESPN and a 2 year starter at Wisconsin. One writer did assume that Texas might target him but I don't remember seeing his name. Anyone know if Texas is pursuing him?
  6. Well even though the higher seeds were 1-7, the last two years, the favorites were 5-3. In 2024-2025, the favorites were actually 3-1 because a couple of lower ranked conference champions got byes. I think having the bye will be a GREAT problem to have next year because it will likely mean we won the SEC. If that happens, we'll just have to hope Sark knows how to get the guys ready to play after the layoff. This year we had over a month between the A&M game and Michigan and I thought the guys looked like they came out ready to play even with all the opt outs.
