American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) QB Dia Bell arrived in Austin yesterday and will take in Texas’ first spring practice today, one of many visits he has planned for the week. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder will also see Ohio State, Pitt and Penn State this week, followed by visits to West Virginia, Auburn and North Carolina next week. Bell already holds numerous offers from schools such as LSU, Miami, Florida, Auburn, Arizona, Utah and many more.

Sark's ultimate recruiting class Steve Sarkisian and staff have signed three straight top 5 classes headed into the 2025 cycle. That string of success means Texas has signed multiple four-star ranked prospects at every position, and top 300 nationally ranked prospects overall at every position. The Longhorns have made the top six cut for St. Ignatius College Preparatory OL John Mills out of San Francisco, California. Mills is a top target on the Texas board and was previously on campus for the January 20 junior day. The four-star offensive lineman is expected back in Austin April 6 for the loaded Texas visitors weekend and has an official visit locked in for June 14-16. There was movement in the polls this week for the Longhorns, after dropping 2 of 3 to a Washington team that is just... okay. Unfortunately that movement was all downward, as Texas is no longer ranked in the Baseball America, D1 Baseball or Perfect Game polls. The Horns play five games this week, starting with a two game series against Air Force on Tues-Wed, followed by Baylor in conference play over the weekend. Both series will be in Austin. just some morning shower thoughts. I know this wasn’t really possible with Arch, Quinn and Maalik being apart of the room this past year and I’m also sure Hudson loves Purdue. But all this Will Howard TOSU transfer love has got me wondering what would’ve happened if Hudson Card transferred in this years QB portal class. There was not much excitement surrounding his move to Purdue. The Brock Vandagriff to Kentucky transfer comes to mind too. I just think we could probably see Hudson playing for a more prominent team if he somehow could have transferred this year instead of last which would’ve been fun. 1. Which guys took advantage of winter workouts, there seems to always be a few guys that pop in spring ball 2. Can Colton Vasek be healthy enough to flash on the field, the guy is super talented but if he can’t get healthy does he get passed by some of the younger guys 3. Hi OTF, Would it be possible to spend some time and do a deep dive on all the new network deals and conference affiliations? I know CBS will no longer do the SEC game of the week and Fox will now have a Friday night game. It would be great to get a sense of where all of the games will appear and be slotted. (IE the SEC #1 will go on abc primetime, SEC #2 ESPN 11am, BIG 10 #1 CBS 230, or whatever the case may be). Might be good off season content, especially during the dog days of summer. We seem to be struggling in recruiting Zero to 3 techs more than any other position on the team, right? How can we change this to a positive recruiting strength? Edge seems to be coming around LB will come around. However the Big Humans in the center of the DL are not leaving home and running to the 40 acres. Even with Murphy and Sweat in the news it does seem like we are getting the opportunities. It does seem like we are taking a big chance by not hiring a BIG name coach. The first spring practice schedule is set. The Horns take to the practice fields at 9am on Tuesday, March 19. The next day, Texas will host its annual pro day for NFL prospects.
