A place where fellow Longhorns can discuss Texas Football, Sports and Recruiting with one another and the staff of On Texas Football.

  1. Texas defensive line targets senior HUDL: OTF community make your picks I'm going to post some early senior season HUDL clips of Texas defensive line targets. The question is, who do you guys like most? Start with Braxton Kyle, North Gwinnett ... Rutgers commit http://www.hudl.com/v/2Pz34H http://www.hudl.com/v/2Pkhyc

  2. We know Napier is all but gone after this year… but is Norvell safe ? Man. I know it’s early in the season but that’s shaping up to be a sight for sore eyes

  3. OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: Kansas State (49), LSU (32), Iowa (20), Washington (18), Texas A&M (12), Boston College (12), Auburn (12), Clemson (12), Florida State (11), Kansas (11), Georgia Tech (9), Iowa State (8), Rutgers (7), Arizona (6), North Carolina (6), Vanderbilt (5), TCU (4), Louisville (2), Florida (2), Nebraska (1), NC State (1), Mississippi State (1). NOTES: Georgia picked up 50 of 54 first-place votes and remained No. 1 for the second consecutive week after defeating Clemson 34-3 in Week 1. The top ranking for Georgia marks the Bulldogs' 36th appearance at No. 1 and the second most behind only Alabama's 61 appearances in the top slot. An SEC team has …

  4. Mentioned this on YouTube last night … but the Cam Ward recruitment flipped the script in the Sunshine State Ward picked Miami over FSU, that will be a season changing decision for the Hurricanes (along with two other big portal wins on O). FSU takes DJ U. after Ward goes with Miami. The Noles invested in a QB without accuracy and consistency his entire college career, and is not a playmaker. Huge drop off at QB from 2023 to 2024, and thus they can’t mask deficiencies on their team this season.

  7. I’m planning to attend the game in the “North”. Is there an organized tailgate for OTF OGs at or near Michigan’s stadium?

FSU. What a terrible start. Getting outplayed by BC

Is he expected to decide anytime soon?? @Gerry Hamilton@CJ Vogel it seems like this is a pretty early announcement for a C/O 27 guy. Also, one of those teams is not like the others 👀

  11. Any recommendations for the best place to stay? My wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary so looking for options that allow for a nice dinner nearby, but also convenience for ubering to/from DKR.

  12. Great start to his career in burnt orange. 🤘🏾

A bit of a late notice but if anyone is looking for a hotel room in Ann Arbor at the Sheraton Ann Arbor Hotel, my family owns a travel agency and we had someone last second drop out of our room block. This hotel will be in your name, it is not a transfer of the room. This is the Sheraton located at 3200 Boardwalk Dr Ann Arbor, MI 48108. $659.00 per night plus taxes. PM me if interested.

  14. 2026 Hun School (NJ) LB Luke Wafle was on campus over the weekend for the season opener against Colorado State. Wafle is a top-100 national prospect and was on campus at the end of July for the Pool Bash. Kyle Flood is the area recruiter and found him this spring. This is a great sign for the Longhorns to get Wafle on campus here. Texas has a real chance.

  15. How about this recognition for RT Cam Williams. Pretty good season debut by the Texas right tackle!

  16. Ol Billy might not be the only Florida coach on the hot seat. FSU is about to get manscaped by a Bill Obrien lead Boston College 😬

A few box score observations : —Jalen Catelon with a pick six for UNLV. A tipped pass rushing the qb he caught and ran back —Jake Smith looks like he’s made it back from injury and multiple transfers—3 catches for Az State —Troy Omeire listed 2nd on Az State depth chart. No catches this week. — Isaiah Neyor with a big game for Nebraska. Not that we are hurting at Wr but always wondered why we could rehab him back to the rotation. As the OTF crew have discussed—wining teams will have transfer out players move on to productive careers.

    FSU 0-2. FLA 0-1. Nice!

  20. Bobby and Gerry, I hate to start a brand new post just to ask this question, but I haven’t found the right post to ask. When Fasusi committed to OU, a common reason from recruiting outlets was, “he has a real chance to play early”… If that truly is a factor with recruits, why hasn’t it worked for DTs committing to Texas over the past few years? We should have several hight 4* to 5*s committed for 2025 if that’s the case. What am I missing?

  21. Nice honor for the big fella, and he's the first Longhorn to win an SEC weekly award. As Sark said this speaks volumes about his development under Coach Flood. "Williams earned a PFF run-blocking grade of 73.4, the highest of any Longhorn offensive lineman in the Colorado State game (Williams was edged out by the 74.8 grade of true freshman wide receiver Ryan Wingo for the team lead). To Sarkisian's point, Williams escorted ball carriers down the field on screens and quick passes from quarterback Quinn Ewers while showing off his feet, balance and power as a pulling tackle." "Williams wasn't considered a sure thing as a recruit, but getting off on the right foo…
