As we get closer to the opener against Colorado State, I’m going to post a memorable play of the day that somehow represents that day’s number. Today's play is the touchdown that sealed the deal for Texas beating Alabama last season. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell catches a 39 yard bomb from QB Quinn Ewers for a touchdown to put the Longhorns ahead 34-24, which ended up being the final score. It was Mitchell's second TD grab of the game and one of many clutch receptions for the playmaker.

With Williams committed, we now have two outstanding two sport athletes in he and Jackson committed. I don't remember this ever occurring on the 40 acres before outside of James Street and Keith Moreland. I'm not sure this has ever occurred before anywhere. Not 2 in the same recruiting class. Amazing.

Note on Josiah Sharma It was brought to my attention that Texas commitment Josiah Sharma (Folsom, Calif./High) didn't play last night in Folsom High's win over Long Beach Poly. He hasn't been cleared by the state to play after his transfer to Folsom. That could happen at any time. Sharma practices every day.

Have y’all seen this, or have I just missed it? In a recent interview with local KXAN, Sark mentioned they have added a slogan for 2024. 2023 was “embrace the hate” but apparently Roger Clemens came to campus and left a slogan on a jersey he signed that says “Tough All Day.” So headed into the SEC, Sark is getting Texas to rally around being “tough all day.” I like it. HookEm.
